Can't believe you made it up, that was some good wheeling! That trail was sketchy as hell but looks like it was worth it in the end. I was the guy in the silver 4runner!
Thanks for taking us along Jeff. The video footage of all the adversity and how you overcame those challenges was is so important for people to see. Bravo man! When are we going to do a RUclips collaboration? I know you like to wheel alone, but we’ll just make it you and me.
I would love to join Jon but mostly you guys do it in the weekend and I work on the weekend but if you guys doing like Tuesday or Wednesday I'm really gonna join for sure 👍
@@WhatzsProduction I can set my own schedule actually. Tuesdays are bad days because that's when I have Zoom meetings, but I can put a green screen behind my driver seat and they'll never know :P
First off, I want to say that I really enjoy watching your show, and I'm impressed by your "never quit" attitude. As a fellow off-roader/overlander I'd love to see you sell that badass little Rav4 and pick up a Jeep. I have a built XJ and have been to Laurel Lakes 100 of times with zero issues. You would have such an easier time with higher clearance, disconnected sway bars, and lockers. Cheers brother!
Your RAV is an absolute tank for a vehicle that gets hated on by Tacoma and 4Runner owners. I have a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid myself and this is just amazing to watch!
Jeff- I'm currently looking at the RAV4 Hybrid. Seeing you make this trip is inspiring. Especially after the Landcruiser called it quits so early. Congrats and that was seriously epic.
Dude - thank you!!! I've been considering a RAV4 as a more fuel efficient off-road (sort of) capable vehicle. Yea, I know it's no 4Runner, but I've been wanting to see what it could really do. When you keep in mind that the real-world steepness is always much worse than the video shows, I'm amazed!! And pretty cool that you did a road that a Land Cruiser turned around on (of course he could have done it, but choose not to). so again - thank you!! I've been in the crazy decision process of Tacoma vs. RAV4 Hybrid. Yea, two very different vehicles. But one gets twice the MPG of the other, and can probably do 80% of the off-road. But still not sure which way I'll go. Either way - I sincerely appreciate this video and your wanderings with your amazing RAV4. THIS is the video I've been trying to find for days!!
You're awesome! I admire your dedication. I just bought an old little 4x4 and went to the beginner friendly "Lydle Creek" and I loved it. Can't wait to go on adventures like yours
Good job. I live in Mammoth and that trail got washed out big time by a summer thunderstorm. The video does not convey how difficult that section was. Winching is never cheating, I am impressed, very cool.....
My hat off to you my friend ! I was just there last week but the trail was to beat up I had to turn around with my LAND CRUISER but you did it with your Rav4 that’s amazing 🤩 Thank you for the great video.
Im so happy i found your channel! I have watched a lot of overland vids and you top them all! You are a g bro! Im going to offroad with u one day, mark my words!
Awesome job parekoy! Me and the wife always enjoyed watching your adventures. We were in Mammoth Lakes area around the week of 2 weeks ago. Thanks to you we found a sweet spot around Grant Lake area. Keep it up,, ingat lagi. God Bless!
I think you should upgrade to the adventure or TRD off road model Rav4. I believe the limited can have it to. But the torq vectoring would of helped alot in those only two wheel contact spots. It acts like a locker. Maybe still wouldve needed to winch but would of helped alot. But great job man. That's impressive off roading!
Cool comment. I didn't realize his RAV4 didn't have the torque vectoring, but yea - was wondering why it didn't work itself out in those steep parts. I'm looking at a 40MPG RAV4 AWD which has the torque vectoring. While I know a RAV4 isn't built for this stuff, I'm amazed at what he's done with it.
@@WhatzsProduction thanks. But looks different i saw the video when u first install the skid plate but now u have a new bumper where the which is and the skid plate look like in 25° degree angle

There is a reason for the GIANT signs that say high clearance 4x4 trail NOT RAV 4 trail. When the gut tells you it rough belive him especially when he is in a better off road vehicle.

Great video!!!! I respect your tenacity and perseverance. And you did it in a RAV 4. That is amazing..!!!
Taking a Rav to a whole other level..Toyota should take note....you used your winch more times than many do in their jeeps in 5 years! Great video!
That’s because with a jeep they are not needed lol
