    You missed out on the most important part of the service-the Champagne.

      Hi Simon, I sadly didn’t get offered any one this flight 🤦
      First world problems though 😂
      Thank you for watching 😁👍

    I did this journey with a return 4 times last year.
    The airport isnt as bad as its made out to be.
    Its usually the easyjet ryanair crowd that are always complaining about thier flights and blaming the airport.

      Thanks for your comment Roger 😁 I totally agree and thought it was a great way to get to London 👍

    Done it once, the other way. It surely only makes sense if you've had a flight into the start airport and have to go onward to the other, or vice versa. Otherwise you're having to do the full airport walking and faffing and go into the city for your mainline train, then out to the airport in the other city. It makes sense then, but if you just need to get to a destination in the other city it would often / usually be as well to go by land.
    There is something exclusive and quite cheeky about doing a 20 minute flight. I'd love to do it again and this time in Club Europe, so I can have my fill of gin and sausages in the lounge and feel even cheekier !

      I felt the same cheeky feeling, although I don’t mix my sausages with gin 😂😂
      Thank you for the great comment though 👍

    I feel for the cabin crew on these shorter sectors sometimes when passengers ask for so much. I think customers forget they literally have 30/35 mins to do the service for up to 20/25+ people.

    We're doing this in August to catch a flight from Gatwick it wasn't so much the price but the practicality of carrying large cases on trains & on the Underground

    you also have to factor in the location of both airports and the lack of options when flying. Manchester piccadilly and london euston are both in the centre of their respective cities and easy to get to your final destination from. Manchester airport is a 30 minute drive out of manchester and London Heathrow is a similar train ride away from London city centre. plus only a couple of flights a day each way vs a train every 20 minutes make it much less convenient

    • @tradingplaces787
      @tradingplaces787  6 месяцев назад +3

      Totally agree, although weighing everything up it’s still way nicer to fly (in my opinion) 😂👍

      The DLR is more frequent than every 20 mins. Euston is as far away as LCY from my house so statements about connectivity are valid but there are as many people for whom it does work as doesn’t. How many people live in the centre of Manchester and London?

    • @tradingplaces787
      @tradingplaces787  5 месяцев назад

      @@GWJUK Hi GWJUK, I agree for most people it’s not as convenient but it’s such a nicer way of travelling. The views out of the window at 25000ft are definitely worth the extra hassle 😂🙌

      @@tradingplaces787 I always drive to Manchester now, the trains are a disgrace since 2019. It’s over £100 for an off peak return now. Anywhere else in the UK I fly with the odd train to Glasgow but not on a Sunday as you’ll be stranded in Preston probably
