Great video guys! I love to see these, there just down right awesome. You guys knock it out of the park on making great content for us out here. What I love is the fact you are keeping the build, the passion and the dream alive out here! God Bless You Guys and rOCK ON!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!
Nice looking Stepside. I have a 74 same stance, new topend from carb down to the headers go right over the axles with a drop down exhaust. I want a manual conversion so bad.
Just liked and subscribed. We are parting out 16 of the square cabs. We also have one complete running 82 thats a 1/2 ton on a 34 ton frame. We simply prefer the 72 and older trucks.
I love the older stuff too! I’m actually building a ‘59 Apache now and my husbands dream truck would be an AD. This one is special to us since it belonged to his late father, but otherwise we would opt for the older stuff too! Thanks for tuning in and for subscribing!!! 😊
@@BabeApprovedRides the reson I ask is ihave3 3.73 gears in my 83 and a th350 none lock up end runs at 3000 pm at 90 km 50 miles n hour. Want more of a crusing gear would a 700r help my issue? In lowering my rpm at hwy speeds?
you really have 2 options. You can raise your rear end gears to more of a highway gear such as a 3.08 or 2.73 to get that rpm down. I ran mine down the interstate no problems with the 2.73 gears with a th350. OR you can swap transmissions out to a 700r/4l60, or something with overdrive. Changing gears is definitely gonna be much cheaper and less work. But having overdrive is very nice. Just depends on what your goals are for the truck!
absolutely. I'll always recommend original gm sheet metal, but Holley performance has everything you need to rebuild your truck ranging from body panels, to interior, to engine components, to suspension. I'd recommend starting there! Good luck with your build!
Lots of talk but basically no truck images. More about your experience than the steppy and that’s ok. But that’s not how you billed the video. This could have been done on a forum post just as well. …

What gear ratio is in the back side of this truck.
In the video it’s a 10 bolt 2.73. Since then the truck has spiced up a bit, and now has a built 12 bolt with moser axles, and a Yukon posi 3.73.

Beautiful truck will look super nice if were fleet side
I love the step side and fleet sides!
@@BabeApprovedRides fleet sides are a dime a dozen. Stepsides rock in a C10 squarebody.

Color code
Not sure on the code, but it's a Oldsmobile Viking Blue with more metal flake. Hope that helps!
Don't ruin the truck with a ls swap
