I've seen a lot of them, the /biz/ wojak breakdowns, the pepe day of retribution, and doomer depression. Nothing comes close to this. Gondola is a great "meme" because it is about observing, and this "meme" eludes to the fact that after years of observing, this Gondola despaired at the state of the world. Gondola's psyche is not clouded by poor stocks, is not preoccupied with failures in dating, is not inherently depressive as the doomer, Gondola simply is. However, even in this objective state of observing, Gondola noticed something so horrible about the world that he couldn't bear to observe anymore - his only purpose in life. That is why I say that this is the most moving/disturbing of all suicide memes I've seen. This Gondola wasn't driven over the edge by a relationship, by failure, or by anything of the sort. This objective entity killed himself because of something he observed about the absurdity of existence. That, to me, is what makes this "meme" so great.

As he walks into the bathroom you can see another Gondola, transparent and sitting in the shower looking down, showing us the depressing showers Gondola has had, as the real Gondola sits there staring into the mirror thinking about his life, the more he thinks about it, the paler his reflection becomes as the life drains out of it, until it's nearly complete white showing us that Gondola's will to live has finally disappeared. As he leaves the room, you can see another Gondola sitting by the door with a bottle of alcohol sits right next to him, showing us Gondola's alcoholic tendencies. Gondola calmly walks into his room, gets the rope, and just hangs. No fear, no hesitation. He'd already made up his mind, and threw his fear out when he did it. The camera zooms in on him as he hangs, the sinister but upbeat music still playing, TV still static, and cars passing in the background without anyone noticing, because the world goes on even without Gondola. Then, just like Gondola, lightning strikes. The power that was on just a second ago just dies as we watch, just as Gondola did. He now hangs in a quiet and dark room, all by him self. And the the cameras pans out and to the top of the roof, where you can see another Gondola. Perhaps it's Gondola's soul after passing away, looking over the city he once lived in. Or perhaps it's another completely different Gondola, ready to end everything just like the one we saw before. I probably looked way too into things. I also have no clue what the image on the TV was, and I'm not very confident in my understanding of the video, and I'm positive I missed some stuff as well.
