That feudal problem is not only in Pakistan. Sadly Sunni Muslims of the Subcontinent have always been very feudal. Shias don't have that problem. That feudal problem is not only in Pakistan. Sadly Sunni Muslims of the Subcontinent have always been very feudal. Shias don't have that problem. Earlier it was Sunni Muslims who got patronage from the Brits in return of their support and hence the local Sunni Muslims had to depend on the local Sunni feudal, now the Brits got replaced by Indian political parties (primarily Congress) that gives patronage to these Feudals in exchange of vote blocks.
