This was such a good scene. I have a horribly strained relationship with my mother, there has never been this much honesty. I didnt really understand this scene when I watched as a child. Now I have a young daughter as well and I'm in tears.
There’s a big difference in TV shows today that I just cannot fathom, for some reason the older shows had such better acting and really showcased real problems
Best points used in this argument. 0:51 “I think you’re exaggerating the situation, things finished quite smoothly.” Kelly’s comeback, “Yeah right, according to you.” 2:07 You don’t have to be everything to everybody, but when you are drinking incessantly, you are nothing to nobody. Kelly’s second point is undeniably true and 100% agreeable. Very well said.
A ex of mine did the same thing to me meaning I use to be on crack really bad. It was her birthday and I didn't have nothing for her. She was really mad and said i was so quick to crack rocks but didn't have nothing for her birthday. When she said that I looked at myself and started to cry. I'm called my mom and asked if I could come home and go to rehab said yes. So I left TN abd moved to GA and left those big drugs alone and got better. The detoxing was the worse part, because I kept waking up in sweat. I been sober 7 years and it feels great I dont miss it. I'm glad she said that to me because it it wasn't for her I might not be alive today.
@@DusktilDawn-xq8rl you have no idea that was the worst feeling ever. I just rested most of the time, when it was over I started slowing becoming myself again. I was only out of of work for two months. I got hired at meat plant I started in 2016 and been there since.
Ann Gillespie ( Jackie Taylor) shared that the auditions were pretty fierce for her character. She recalled in the audition waiting area that the models auditioning were seated on one side of the room and the "actresses" were seated on the opposite side. When she arrived to audition there weren't enough seats so the secretary in that room unfolded an extra chair and placed it next to her desk in between the row of models and actresses. She stood out then and there and she eventually got the part to play Kelly's mother. Jennie Garth said she loved working with her and learned a lot from Ann.
It's so heartbreaking when the child is more mature and understands their own needs better than the parent. Immature parents often try to make their children guilty for having their basically (unmet) needs.
@@scottwood928 The actress herself didn’t look that old. She was made up to look disheveled and rough. And the clothing styles from back then make adults seem older by today’s standards.
Jackie still never learned after she got out of rehab. She wound up treating Silver the same way she treated Kelly. Apologies mean nothing when you keep making the same mistakes
Yeah, that was sad that she ended up repeating the same pattern with her younger daughter, Erin, aka Silver. It got so bad that Silver ran away from home before finally confessing to Kelly that Jackie had relapsed. Kelly was understandably furious at Jackie and invited Erin to live with her.
Well they had to find some drama somewhere, didn’t they? No surprise they’d mine the more dramatic plotlines of the original in a cheap, crass and reductive way. Those writers weren’t coming up with anything better for that dreck.

Best part Mrs.Walsh had a compassionate heart helping Kelly

Ikr
Agreed
I love the way Mrs Walsh pretended she heard nothing from the kitchen
Mrs. Walsh is a classy lady.
Kelly is playing the role of the mother when she is the daughter; that’s not fair for a 16 years old teenager. She deserves a real mother.
this show is a national treasure

Kris Kardashian got her style from Kelly's mom..
I feel bad for Kelly and she has every right to stand up to her mom
I know what you mean I have an alcohol problem too

An amazing series that touches on all aspects of life, especially the sensitive ones
Man! they sure look like mother and daughter even though irl they’re not related 😅

This was a great episode.
“You don’t even know what OK is anymore.”
Carol and Jim Walsh were the most wonderful parents on television in the 90's❤❤❤❤
Kelly what an amazing character
I need to buy all the episodes on DVD

The 90s tv shows were different!!
Fantastic episode!
I can’t believe I have the age of the mother now 🤦🏼♀️
stay from coke & booze, you will look & feel younger than her

Great episode
That music reminds me of “In the air tonight” by Phil Collins
Excellent episode. And why is "cocaine" not allowed to be printed?
Cause it would rate the video not for minors
Her hair is perfect

And Pluto

For such a cheesy series this is pretty good acting.
Like Cindy didn't have a glass held to the door for better hearing! Girl please!
What is it with the Walshes'? They can make the dysfunctional Taylor's good people and bring them together.
They've got a magic touch.
Jackie still never learned after she got out of rehab. She wound up treating Silver the same way she treated Kelly. Apologies mean nothing when you keep making the same mistakes
but that didn't take either as she was a lush in the 90210 reboot
Unfortunately, very few addicts ever recover and can live good lives.

I wouldn't be proud to have Kelly as my daughter.
The mother is much better looking than the daughter
Damn, Kelly. Coke and alcohol is fun. 🙄 I heard at least 🤔
Righttttt!
I wanna hang out w the mom tbh
“I don’t need a best friend. I need a mother” 🤌🤌🤌
Epic scene!
