Hey there, have you seen the "How to use 4643" video right here on RUclips, ostensibly by the makers of the knife sharpener, channel named "ChefsChoice by Edgecraft"? While as you point out the instructions coming with the sharpener talk of a sawing motion, that video I'm talking about shows sharpening done through pulling alone ! I'm so confused, which one is the "correct" way? If it's pulling alone, what's up with the written instructions, they didn't know how to use their own products after manufacturing it? If it's sawing motion, what's up with that totally misleading video from the makers showing exactly how NOT to use the product?

@@Hubcool367 I agree, for a different model, the pronto with the 2 slots, they do display the saw pull and back method. And than I have seen the video you have described. Either way, with the saw method I got great results.
