    Great video! I noticed that you were talking and showing snap rings, you didn’t have these on the lures used but just to let your other viewers know if there is a snap ring on the lure already then there is no need for this knot, actually it’s highly recommended you do not use this knot. This was a great video, I will look for more of them that you have posted.

      thanks! thanks right, there is no need for a loop knot if there is a snap or split ring. theres other applications with this loop knot too, such as a make shift jika rig by using a casting style drop shot weight!

    Great looking lure . Do you know the model number and color.? Thanks

      It's a hand spun pencil fly made out of deer hair pattern of the giant snakehead. It was sent by a fan a long time ago.

      @@rawrfishing Sorry you must be looking at a different video. It’s not a fly. It’s a pencil lure by Yo ziti 3D . Just wondering if you knew the model number and the color. Thanks.

    For simplicity sake, is there any issue with tying the thicker line the same as the thinner line (2 times through the loop made prior to going through the lure)? This would eliminate needing to remember a special step in thin line cases. Or does this cause to much bulk when done with thicker line?

      Thick line... Does not matter. So salt folks who uses 20lbs and up don't need to

  • @PainterD54

    I used to use that knot but in time it will wear the line out where the lure pivots, so be careful and re-tie it often so you don't lose a fish.

      loop knots definitely have an effect that does that! but if it does that, then something is also wrong with the hook eye itself. i rarely use loop knots as most of my hard lures already have split rings. Certain lures uses clips like spoons. But i think i use it most on jigs and weightless texas rig hooks for fluke style plastics!

    Lefty Kregh Loop knot and Rapala loop knot are different from eachother, but similar.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  Год назад

      Correct. Rapala knot finishes off different

    Is this a stronger loop than the perfection loop?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  Год назад

      Yes. This is known as the strongest and is also called the nonslip loop knot

    • @carlosmartinezreborned6403
      @carlosmartinezreborned6403 Год назад +1

      @@rawrfishing I was doing some reading and it looks like only the Rapala knot is stronger

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  Год назад +1

      rapala knot is not much stronger. only applicable for thinner lines. Thicker line, it doesn't give any more improvements and by putting the tag end backwards, it will pick up weeds.

    Dude.. That tag line as short as it is will not help with weeds but in fact will catch more weeds... Lol
