    13:30 We first have to remove electrons from 4s orbital and then move to 3d orbital. So 2 electrons are removed from 4s orbital in Ni²+ and 3d⁸ will remain as it is. When it is filled in the orbital 2 unpaired electrons are obtained. Hence n=2.

      Yes she is removing directly from 'd' orbital, but outermost orbital is 's' orbital and she is not following Aufbau Principle..
      if electrons are removed from 's' orbital , we will get correct no. of unpaired electrons..
