Despite the AI being smart it gets pretty crazy sometimes ;-; The same thing happens with those brigands in Chapter 4 as well. Makes protecting them a whole lot harder when their stats are halved :/
Yeah, I've never heard of a way to beat him in single combat directly without some form of status shenanigans. You'd have to be able to survive something like 70 points of magic damage before you can even *hit* him, let alone kill him. Then there's the small matter of his 25% chance to just get an extra turn because of his Movement Stars. Short of Olwen with the Holy Sword and enough durability on her part, I think there's very few ways to deal with that. Siege tomes maybe, but you'd have to hit him. Other than just using the Warp staff to escape, or the Berserk staff to make him wipe out his fellow units, I've heard using M-Up/Sleep to knock him off his horse and then capturing him to take his Dire Thunder tome is the best way to deal with him.
He is much more fearsome here, as his stats are really scary, his tome is even more dangerous here (I mean, we are talking of older FE Games, where the pity Res stat was the way the game had to tell the player to be careful of magic, so a x2 magic hit from a monster like him was pretty much a good bye to that given unit).
Interestingly, Thracia was rather unique in its mechanics: a unit's Magic stat also functioned as their Resistance stat. This made some physical units less prone to being nuked, but made mages harder to counter with other mages. So you can have a unit with high Magic stand toe-to-toe with Reinhardt's spell slinging, in theory. The question is if they have enough HP to soak all that damage from him. They probably don't. And even if they did, if given half a chance he'll ride up and bop your spellcaster/unit with high MAG with his Master Sword instead. Because Thracia hates its players.
all of the brave effect weapons in thracia rekt everything... *and there are alot of weapons with brave effect in thracia. like, 80% of all prf weapons*
sephiaKavaliara And as i can see, this "Vantage" has no HP requirement. Yup, kinda like Arvis in FE4 (Fala Flame gives him awesome defensive and offensive stats and his skills)

20k to 5* Reinhardt and 20k for Deathblow 3 from either Effie or Hawkeye (or maybe even Ursula if they're desperate) since they get it at 5*. I'm guessing he doesn't have a Klein since they are a pain in the ass to pull in Colorless misery with all those useless healers in there
Actually, she only needs 13 magic for stealing the staff (requires 3 magic ups or promotion and M-Up boost). But you still need someone with 21+ magic in order to berserk Reinhardt. Also, you don't actually need to attack Saias. Just performing an action within 2 tiles of him is enough. The boss can also put Reinhardt to sleep if he hits with tornado which automatically dismounts him and thus makes him a free capture. :D (although you pretty much need to do this asap or he will be killed by the ballistae)
I just did this strat today when I finally beat 776, it felt so satasfying watching Reinhardt casually betray his entire army. He usually gets screwed by ballista thanks to the accost ability he has.
More like Dire Thunder(Like any brave weapon, can attack twice and since this isn't Heroes logic it will be at anytime.) not Desperation &/or Brash Assault and tomes back then could already counter melee attacks as well as attack from the space right in front of the enemy(To counter bow users technically). mechwarreir2 this mission is optional. And yes you're missing out on a lot of EXP but these soldiers are threats and when Rinehardt has complete and total mobility advantage. Yeah you're missing out on some EXP but in the end losing like 8-9 members of your army directly fighting Rine would be the worst option.
mechwarreir2 in fe4 endgame, you just have seliph rush to the castle and seize killing all the enemies to minimize death total (except that you can't die thanks to the holy weapons). And besides most of your units have holy weapons that boosts stats, they don't need the exp. And this is one of the final maps in tharacia with the strongest boss in the game its about 3-5 levels you're losing cause your units are almost capped.
Reinhardt attacks twice hitting magical resistance with his capped Mag and absurdly powerful brave tome hitting for roughly 70 damage before defense before you can even move, has a 25% chance to move again after moving, also has Charge and Adept which can give him even more hits, the absurd boost of tons of leadership starts (less if Saias has left) and an entire squadron of lesser mage knights backing him. Why WOULDN'T you do this?!
That's because he has Continue/Charge/Accost depending on your TL. What it does is give the unit the tag IF HP > Enemy HP and SPEED > Enemy Speed, do another round of combat. Add to that that he also has Adept ( turn your 1 attack into 2 attacks ) and 2 brave weapons in the form of Dire Thunder and Meisterschwartz ( which is basically a Brave Sword in f5 ), and he gets a decent amount of attacks each time, and basically repeats a round of combat everytime too.
@@deletedTestimony Oh yes he really is horrifying. He can basically wipe people off the face of the earth, especially given how Vantage works in Thracia. ( In Thracia, anyone who has vantage ALWAYS goes first if an enemy attacks them. ) The easiest way to clear this map is to cheese it in 2 turns with Warp/Rescue. Fighting him is actually way too wonky because of his skill line-up and with how Thracia skills interact with each other ( and with how PCC, Pursuit Critical Coefficient works, he's especially deadly. PCC basically means each consecutive attack you do past the first has an increased critical chance, meaning he gets absurdly high crit rates. ) It's uhh. Pretty nerdy, but really. It's hard to describe how bullshit he can be if you're not prepared for him with his nearly capped out statline.

they can teleport themselves to wherever they please
Hammerne's a thing
and Tina gets to literally yoink almost anything in the game from enemies...
Rein looking kinda sus
this' my favorite video in the internet
It looks fun, but one wouldn't actually do that in a run bc of all the lost exp right?
By the time you fight Reinhardt, its almost the end of the game. Why NOT just have the strongest boss in the game just solo his own group.
This map is so hard that most people just warp-skip it
mechwarreir2 this mission is optional.
Playing this game rn it’s so good
But Leif can’t double Soldiers, He’s slower than a turtle.
give him a speed ring and an iron sword
Ced scroll would do wonders for him then
me wondering why the funny pokemon hack man is playing thracia
1:44 Thunder and *Lightnin*
I just did this on my FE5 save file. Reinhardt killed 2 paladins, the 3rd one finished him. Priceless ♡
this is so weird
Mage knight: *Tron*
What the hell was that six swing dire thunder near the end jesus christmas
That's because he has Continue/Charge/Accost depending on your TL.
What it does is give the unit the tag
IF HP > Enemy HP and SPEED > Enemy Speed, do another round of combat.
@@rintv3675 thanks. Also, jesus Christ how horrifying. I feel like FEH got off easy now.
@@deletedTestimony Oh yes he really is horrifying. He can basically wipe people off the face of the earth, especially given how Vantage works in Thracia. ( In Thracia, anyone who has vantage ALWAYS goes first if an enemy attacks them. )
The easiest way to clear this map is to cheese it in 2 turns with Warp/Rescue. Fighting him is actually way too wonky because of his skill line-up and with how Thracia skills interact with each other ( and with how PCC, Pursuit Critical Coefficient works, he's especially deadly. PCC basically means each consecutive attack you do past the first has an increased critical chance, meaning he gets absurdly high crit rates. )
It's uhh. Pretty nerdy, but really. It's hard to describe how bullshit he can be if you're not prepared for him with his nearly capped out statline.
@@rintv3675 so basically The Reinhardt is only a fraction of his true power. Good to know.
Saias uses lightnin!
I keep being on the internet
I literally have no idea what is happening
Engage made me hate this map
Genius
Dfq......
How is this in English?
A translation patch exists
Well played. Lol
Why did Reinhardt kill all his troops?
berserk staff allows enemy who got inflicted to kill their own troops, so if one of your unit got berserked they will do that too
Seems easy enough
This video is FUCKING 9 years old wtf?!
I just said why on that comment you're replying to: TO KEEP THEM AS BAIT.
Which translation is this?
probably the early version, the translations are broken
sephiaKavaliara yeah, the translation i played did not have this chapter translated for some reason, along with like 3 others, so this one looked interesting
just wait until the Project Naga one is finished
sephiaKavaliara ahahahah, right
Wtf happenend????????
the power of berserk staff
He turned Reinhardt against his own army but they didn't realize that there was never such a thing as an army.
It was just Reinhardt all along. (?)
800th like!
YOU WILL BACK DOWN!
