it's realy best powder foundation on my skin... it lasts all day long...it is a full coverage makeup and also for party wear... If you want glow on face den u can try macc highlighter under the poweder foundation...it's very nice
Yes it is great for my oily skin, and as I showed for the last option you can set your foundation with it! I also use it to set concealer without using it on my entire face. Works great for me!
Hey! Meagan May---Maybe this wasn't an accident but did you know you said that NW is for cooler tones and NC is for warmer tones? Is that really the case? Because when I go to the My match finder on the Mac website and put pink/rosy tones as my coloring it always gives me an NW shade...
Hope Davis Yes, MAC is backwards in that NW (neutral warm) is actually for cooler tones and NC (neutral cool) is actually for warmer tones. When you put in pink undertones it gives you a NW shade because you are cooler toned. Warmer tones have a yellow base. I am also cool toned (pink) and wear NW15. Hope that helps to clear it up, it can get very confusing!
This is perfect! I was sold studio fix at the mac counter as a finishing powder, but the description online doesn't list that use so when I needed to double check to see if it could be used over liquid foundation, this gave me all the info.
I love Studio Fix Powder! It melts on the skin and covers just enough. I wear it over Next to Nothing face colour and I look natural and not overdone. I Spring and Summer months I wear it over a tinted sunscreen and I go to work and when I come back it's still perfect! I live in Greece and my skin is normal to combination. I want to point out here that my job (I am a teacher) is not a desk job and I spend a lot of time outside in cold or hit. Studio Fix Powder never fails me.
I can't find the previous video, which she mentioned. I'm interested in watching as many good powder foundation videos as I can find, and she is a good demonstrator oof different ways to use powder foundation. I wonder if that MAC strobe cream is still available.
I definitely need a full coverage when I have my time of the month because my acne flares up a lot at that time. Otherwise, a medium coverage would work for me. Here at our MAC store in Canada, the studio fix powder is $34 and I can find a good foundation at the pharmacy for under $20
Did you mean to say NC is for warmer and NW is for cooler? I don’t know if that is switched by accident ir if Mac does their color systems differently. Isn’t w for warm? Thanks!
I would suggest only using it that way for special occasions or when you really need the coverage. If used over a heavy foundation daily it probably would clog pores. Nothing wrong with the occasional use though! and if you used a primer I think it would help keep some product out of your pores.
Ur makeup looks amazing I think I'm gonna go back and get a new studio fix I hear they do nw13 now I think I'm a nw15 like u but I just wondered if u tryed the lighter one is there much difference in colour
Matthew Lapping Thank you! I haven't seen the new NW13 in the powder yet, but I would prob stick to the 15 just because a powder too light could come off chalky. I do use NW13 in the Studio Fix Fluid though!
ish arora To be completely honest I am so fair it would be hard to tell! lol but it does not have Spf in it which is what causes the white cast in photographs.
omg this comment is so random but the background music is the same as in the tutorial that Ariana grande filmed like ages ago, i immediately had to think of that beside this awkward info i really liked your video, i was thinking about buying the studio fix powder anyways but this really convinced me, thank you :-)
Thanks for this! I recently bought this powder/foundation. So far, I'm tried it alone over a primer, on top of MAC's Face & Body, and by itself with MAC's Fix + on top. So far, I prefer it alone with Fix+ on top!
Hiiii , This video was really helpful for me , many thanks sweeti :) but I have one question " does it really give good results like better results using the sponge of the studio fix powder instead of using large powder brush for putting the powder after the foundation .. ? :)
dana shbeeb Thank you! Yes the sponge deposits more powder and presses it into the skin for better coverage. The large brush just sweeps a light amount on for setting the makeup but doesn't really add to the coverage the way the sponge can. It's just whatever kind of look you're after!
hi i saw that you apply the naked foundation first before studio fix, can i get a full coverage without using liquid foundation?just studio fix itself? im doing my makeup fr my wedding and im still figuring out how.. my face does look cakey wen i apply too much of the studio fix.
+nur mira I'm afraid I do not know of a way to get full coverage with just the studio fix alone. Like you mentioned it gets cakey when you apply too much or too thick. The only way I know of is to use it on top of a liquid foundation for maximum coverage with this product. If you are looking for a full coverage liquid foundation I would recommend the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Makeup. It is long wearing and I think would make a beautiful wedding day foundation! Good luck and congrats!
T Zannat Hi! I would start my trying the foundation finder on MAC's website, but it is always hard to tell online! My best suggestion would be to buy from a store (such as Nordstrom) that has free shipping and free returns! That way you can try a few shades without any risk. Thank you so much for watching!
Umm Khadijah I've actually been told differently. Plus I am extremely cool toned and I am always matched to the NW formulas by the makeup artists and also the online shade matcher. I always remember it as NW=not warm and NC=not cool
Honey, love the idea here, thanks. BTW if you wouldn't play with that hair so much it wouldn't be so obvious that you have extensions or a fall on your regular hair.
For some reason MAC is backwards...if you are cool toned you wear NW and if you are warm toned you would wear NC. I remember it by thinking NW=not warm and NC=not cool (just for MAC though!)
I am C3 in studio fix powder and I am quit fair and blond..... Usually in powder and foundations I am the palest or second palest shade but in Mac I get confused. I consider myself fair with yellow/peachy undertones.
She apologized for the it not being in focus, and I thought she meant that little part of the video, but is she using a FILTER on this video? Because I can't see any detail.
Im not an expert but I have a pretty good experience, and I can tell u at your age u better use a powder. My skin wss clear at ur age and I started using heavy foundations and completely ruined my skin, now it is back to normal and I only use mineral foundations and powderss
Yes I would say to stick to a powder at your age. They are more light, natural and you don't need a heavy liquid foundation! This or BareMinerals might be a good place to start!
RikMayallFan89 I'm sorry I guess I wasn't really clear. It does stand for Neutral Warm and Neutral Cool, but if you have cool toned skin you would use Neutral Warm and vice versa.
no she still explains it wrong! and instead of doing a Research or going to the next mac counter and ask one of the make up Artists what the nw and nc is about (it is even explained on mac's webside) explains it wrong even once again??? nw= nude with warm undertones nc= nude with cold undertones
+InaGemina I continue to stand by what I said. I have done my research and while NW=Neutral Warm it has pink undertones like most cool foundations and NC=Neutral Cool and has yellow undertones like most warm foundations. Please link to the website page if you find otherwise. I may not have been able to explain it in video the best way, but I do not change what I said about MAC shades being the opposite of all other foundations.
Honey, love the idea here, thanks. BTW if you wouldn't play with that hair so much it wouldn't be so obvious that you have extensions or a fall on your regular hair.
I couldn’t an equivalent tutorial on the MAC channel. thank you for doing this 👍
it's realy best powder foundation on my skin... it lasts all day long...it is a full coverage makeup and also for party wear... If you want glow on face den u can try macc highlighter under the poweder foundation...it's very nice

Hope that helps to clear it up, it can get very confusing!
Thank you. That really does help! I think I have the same skin tone as you... More or less.
This is perfect! I was sold studio fix at the mac counter as a finishing powder, but the description online doesn't list that use so when I needed to double check to see if it could be used over liquid foundation, this gave me all the info.
This is easy to understand, so here we go. NC = neutral to cool = yellow undertone
NW - neutral to warm = pink undertone
apparently with mac it's the other way round?
Not cool and not warm
Yep! It is typically “backwards” Compared to other brands
But there is also plain N and plain C as well.
That’s why when I wear it I can never tell if it actually did anything
This is a great video. A lifesaver actually as I was not sure which MAC powder I wanted to buy. Thanks!
I can't find the previous video, which she mentioned. I'm interested in watching as many good powder foundation videos as I can find, and she is a good demonstrator oof different ways to use powder foundation. I wonder if that MAC strobe cream is still available.
I like your video, simple, nothing over the top. And to the point. And your voice is also calming. You look cute as well 🔥. Thank you for the video.
I definitely need a full coverage when I have my time of the month because my acne flares up a lot at that time. Otherwise, a medium coverage would work for me. Here at our MAC store in Canada, the studio fix powder is $34 and I can find a good foundation at the pharmacy for under $20
Great video! I just bought this and wasn't really sure how to use it for heavier coverage. This is really helpful :)
I'm so glad you found it helpful!
I would recommend MAC products to anyone the cost is great for high quality products!
This is a real nice video.
I do like the music, and wonder if Megan herself is playing the piano🌝
Beautiful finish and you explained very well.Thank You..You are pretty.Amazing effect and absolutely perfect to your skin face.
dampen your sponge for a full coverage result w/o the liquid foundation step, I've been doing it for about 20 years
Did you mean to say NC is for warmer and NW is for cooler? I don’t know if that is switched by accident ir if Mac does their color systems differently. Isn’t w for warm?
Thanks!
MACs system is the opposite of what you would think! Not a mix up 😊 MAC is just different like that!
She’s got it wrong. You use nw for warm skin tone to neutralise it and nc for neutralise cool tones.
I'm pretty sure NW is for warmer skin tones, while NC is for cooler skin tones, as MAC officially stated it on their foundation shade-finder...
Omg you're the BEST! !! Thank you YOU taught ME SO SO MUCH! !!!!
Kristen S. Thank you I'm so glad it was helpful!
Meagan May ♡♡♡♡♡

That powder is my right or die product.i don't know what I would do without it.
It's always good to have on hand! Glad you love it!
Hi.. Jz wanted to know that should v apply again compact powder aftr 'studio fix powder plus foundation'?
Consulta que color es tu base y los polvos Studio Fix saludos desde Perú🇵🇪
Would it clog my pores alot if I used Mac Pro longwear liquid foundation then set it with this? (: xx
I would suggest only using it that way for special occasions or when you really need the coverage. If used over a heavy foundation daily it probably would clog pores. Nothing wrong with the occasional use though! and if you used a primer I think it would help keep some product out of your pores.

Hey u look amazing in each of the four applications. does it leave a white cast during flash photography?
ish arora To be completely honest I am so fair it would be hard to tell! lol but it does not have Spf in it which is what causes the white cast in photographs.
Hehe thanku darling xoxo -)
I've tried the powder by itself (including concelear under my eyes) and the powder looked flawless with flash photography! Hope this helped :)
I just got this today! so excited to try this....
omg this comment is so random but the background music is the same as in the tutorial that Ariana grande filmed like ages ago, i immediately had to think of that
beside this awkward info i really liked your video, i was thinking about buying the studio fix powder anyways but this really convinced me, thank you :-)
shamimehxa Totally random, yet interesting info ;) and thank you I hope you love it!

This was actually very helpful! Thank you!!☺️
SarahFaithxx Thanks for watching! :)

LadyBug1383 I just discovered Fix+ on top of this and I really like it too! Such a natural finish!
Hiiii , This video was really helpful for me , many thanks sweeti :)

dana shbeeb and Mac brand sponges are amazing and last longer than drug store brand ones. I feel like the "pores" of the Mac sponges are finer.

Great review meagan, I wear this in shade nw45 and it's my holy grail. I did a review on it as well!
hiya
i wear matchmaster foundation number 5
by any chance can you tell which shade I should buy this product?
I only can buy MAC product online.
T Zannat Hi! I would start my trying the foundation finder on MAC's website, but it is always hard to tell online! My best suggestion would be to buy from a store (such as Nordstrom) that has free shipping and free returns! That way you can try a few shades without any risk. Thank you so much for watching!
thanks :)
Love this you did a good Job Explaining how the Powder work so this made my Decision easy when I go to Mac thanks again🤗
Does the name which is studio fix fades off on the product if it's a original one?
Do you know which strobe cream you used. Which shade?
The original which I guess is now called Pinklite!
very helpful review thank you
Elida Denny Thanks for watching! :)
So cute😍Nice video😍🆗
Do you wet the sponge?
No I used it dry here!
Nc is actually for cooler tones and Nw is for warmer tones. The workers at Mac said that's what the difference is
Umm Khadijah I've actually been told differently. Plus I am extremely cool toned and I am always matched to the NW formulas by the makeup artists and also the online shade matcher. I always remember it as NW=not warm and NC=not cool

so helpful
Thank you for your great tips!
Reem Alsmaiel You are very welcome!
Nice video👌👌👌👌
NC is cool = C cool tones NW is Warm = W warm undertones. Oops you had those swapped.
Awesomeeeee :D
Im NC 10 , am i to fair ?
You look so pretty ......❤
thank you!!!!
Thanks for the great video.Saya sekeluarga ambil yg haq sahaja.Lain2 tiada.Dulu kini dan selamanya.
Nw is for warmer shades
Nc is for cooler shades hahaha
W = warm
C = cool ?????
No for some reason it's the other way around
Yes w=warm
C=cool
Nw=neutral warm
Nc=neutral cool
She must of mixed it up accidentally
For some reason MAC is backwards...if you are cool toned you wear NW and if you are warm toned you would wear NC. I remember it by thinking NW=not warm and NC=not cool (just for MAC though!)

2:11 why do people pull their skin!!! goosebumps
👍👍👍👍👍
MAC Studio Fix Powder isnt mat the whole Day is soon shiny and oily at me
Leuk
NC=not cool/need cool, NW=not warm/need warm
You are so beautiful!
Thank you so much, that is sweet of you to say!
MAC has a good Coverage but dont fix at the place a day long ,t zone get soon oily
wtf err no, NW is warmer tones, the W gives you a clue.... WARM and NC's are COOLER
RikMayallFan89 You would think so! But it just so happens MAC does it backwards...
sorry but mac told me themselves that W is warm and C is cool......
RikMayallFan89 I'm sorry I guess I wasn't really clear. It does stand for Neutral Warm and Neutral Cool, but if you have cool toned skin you would use Neutral Warm and vice versa.
It's kinda like "not warm - NW" and "not cool - NC"
That's why her face doesn't match her neck, your face is bit darker. Don't push the wrong info girl. #justsaying
Ur cute looking
no she still explains it wrong! and instead of doing a Research or going to the next mac counter and ask one of the make up Artists what the nw and nc is about (it is even explained on mac's webside) explains it wrong even once again??? nw= nude with warm undertones nc= nude with cold undertones
