Ohh dear Allen, sometimes you can get away with substitute parts but not if you wipe them out ! At least this one should have an excellent picture when the correct ones are fitted. We have all been there, but now and again, it all goes wrong.
Many tvs have reverse color/ polarity on the backlight wires.They even have the silkscreen wrong in the power board as to the polarity of the electrolytic caps sometimes.
Indeed we all make mistakes sometimes. Would have thought there would be current limiting on the backlights that may have saved them but obviously not.

I've often pondered why those LED are not swappable individually. Cheaper to.make a strip I guess.
