Amazing review, i love your content, spot on! You've mentioned there is no wifi connectivity on this but are you sure? Cuz im looking to buy & the Amazfit website mentions there is wifi connectivity. Nice review bro. Want to ask, for watch faces, are there any that is analog type and has continuous smooth motion for the clock second hand? So far amazfit doesnt seem to have. Older models i mean.

I am so grateful that you brought up compatibility with Samsung phones! Sadly I just returned a Huawei watch fit. Because it simply would not hold a stable connection to my s21 Ultra. Hate to say it but I'm probably going to have to go with a Galaxy watch 4 and their weak battery.
The possibility to reply to text messages would make this a great watch. I'm am considering the ticwatch for that feature even though the battery isn't great as tis fellow.

Aa a GTR 2 owner, I don't really consider this as a major upgrade. It's like a GTR 2 (Pro version).
I hope they fixed the Bluetooth headphones compatibility issues.

Great review. I really like Amazfit my only annoyance is that the message on IOS are not format correctly I you get the text broken really weird to read sometimes. Did Amazfit fix this issue?

This is interesting, did they remove the music storage / playback. And Bluetooth calls from the non pro gtr3 and gts3, and only leave it in the gtr3 pro?
I'm sure I'll find this info out in the coming weeks but for a product that was only announced yesterday, this was a big feature for me, looks like I may need to spend the extra on the r pro this time round but I do like my gts2

@@Sebilion12 13. There is a lock feature that activates once the watch is off your wrist.
14. Step count is accurate and GPS tracking is great.
I also bought a magnetic strap for the watch and replaced it with the original one, so it doesn't feel to tight on the wrist.
In simple words, a premium smart watch.
Note : No wifi, NPC, wearOS.

I’d love to see your comparison of the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and this Amazfit GTR 3 Pro. I prefer the look of the Amazfit, but it seems like the features of the TicWatch are superior. I already purchased the TicWatch, but I can return it if the Amazfit is comparable. I was hopeful, because I also recently purchased the Amazfit T-Rex Pro (since TicWatch didn’t have a rugged version) and liked the idea of using the same app as I trade between watches for workouts and charging. Thanks for the reviews, very helpful.
I ended up getting the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS and sent the other watches back.
Why did you pick ticwatch pro ?
@@lionheart6960 I picked the Pro 3 ultra for battery life, Military standard rugged specs with stylish look, Wear OS Platform, GPS, all in one watch. After trying the Amazfit and Ticwatch both at the same time, I didn't like having 2 separate platforms to decipher between. My life if complicated enough.

Ordered! Good review bro. I already have the GTR 2 so this doesn't have a TON of upgrades but I think it has enough and those mini apps will be clutch! I do think they are overpriced by $30-$40 but it's all good, Apple Watch and Samsung watches can't last longer than 2 days so I got rid of them all.
Same here, GTR 2 sport. I don't see much reasons to upgrade
One of the reasons I chose the Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit T REX PRO is the long battery life compared to the expensive Apple watches.

Good review. Is it worth £179, compared to £199 of Samsung 4? Been debating over this (gts 2 too). Have Samsung Gear s3 want to update, but wear os battery life is just so poor. I want stand alone gps and onboard music which it has and like the virtual pacer function, but is this any better than gts 2 version!? Cheers

Yes GPS can be switched off. Health tracking is average, but will be improved by FW update.

It's essentially a dressier (and less rugged) T-Rex 2 + microphone and a slightly smaller battery. Nifty.

Like normally I wear earbuds, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? And during an ongoing call do we have an option to change the audio from watch to phone and vice-versa?

Hi I'm deciding between the Amazfit gtr 3 pro, ticwatch pro 3 gps, and Galaxy watch active 2. I don't want the galaxy 4 because of battery life. I mainly need this to have multiple day battery life and good health tracking but I would like when I worked out I can leave my phone, aka gps, on board storage, can connect to Bluetooth earbuds, have wifi for notifications( not super important)
This One or Garmin Venu 2? For sport..considering that the Garmin doesn't have training load and training status..

in sport mode , is there INTERVALLE , like on the amazfit stratos 3 ? it's for programming intervalle training, HIIT For instance 45sec intense sprint followed by 30sec cool walking, and repeat. my stratos 3 has it but a lot of amazfit don't have it.

Besides screen size, what are the feature differences between the GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro? Pro has speaker and WLAN, but what does that give you?

Great review as always and boy do I love that big screen... but, given I've just returned the GTR2e due to poor interface/software experience, and the battery life on this is little better than a Samsung Watch 4, then it is unlikely this will compliment my Active 2 or Classic.

Wifi is used for transfering music files to the watch. Is it always on? There is an automatic start on when you choose music files transfer or something else?
Switches on when required. Not always on.
No nfc no reply to messages game changers for me.The watch looks great but without those features totally not worth it.😔

4) When you scroll down on home screen you get all shortcuts like brightness, dnd, calendar etc. On second screen Bluetooth icon is there which takes to bluetooth setting to toggle it. What does that do?

A quick workaround to make Bluetooth phonecalls. See to it that the phone is detectable. Now in the settings from the watch itself and go to the Bluetooth settings. See if you're phone is on the list and connect with the smartphone. This should fix your issue. I'm curious if this worked for you so let me know.
