I recently visited Makati and BGC for the second time and found them great places to stay. I know it's not fair to compare these cities to a popular nomad destination, but Bali has a better community for nomads. However, Filipinos speaking English well certainly makes it an attractive place to stay for an extended time. I shared my experiences on my channel-definitely a city worth exploring as a digital nomad.
I hope these vloggers will stop saying, "Everyone speaks English...", about Filipinos cause that's not entirely true. I can understand where he's coming from but if he gets out of BGC and meet the real locals he'll realize that not everyone can English.
@@solkalibri1376 Yeah true, not everyone speaks English there since it's not their main language, but maybe at least 70% do speak and understand the language

Good news if you are a Spain citizens, the govern of Spain and the Philippines are now working agreements that a Spanish citizen can have a dual citizenship. There are now lots of agreements bilateral that includes business and cultural.

Great video, Fonsi 😊 Very informative and interesting to learn so many things about Manila. If times are good, in the furute I'll visit the place for sure and I'll have YOU to thank! 👍 Have an amazing time in Peru 🦙🦙🦙
BGC and Makati are the great choices when you stay in the Philippines because there are so many stores, malls, bars restaurants with that areas. So hope you enjoy buddy and keep safe👍🫠

Fonsi, much better to go somewhere around the philippines in times of Occasion/Religious Fiest, or Cultural Festival. Just search in it google when the exact date to come/visit the place. Especially in Manila during Translacion or January 9, then Tondo during Sto. Nino Festival, then april i think in San juan Manila. In translacion you see millions of people gather in quiapo church and it is one of kind experience and you will never forget it. Godbless, and someday i will meet you in person🤗
Yeah . Get a modelling job or join pilipino celebrity while you there in the Philippines. You are gorgeous , sweet, charismatic guy. So i don't think you have trouble getting that kind of job.😁💕😘
The mentality that Manila or even just Philippines in general is a dangerous place to travel is an outdated mentality. Areas with high criminal activity or not so-safe places is a default in ALL countries and western countries are no exception to the rule. As a traveler myself, it's only a matter of being vigilant and noticing your surroundings when traveling to foreign places. Thanks Fonsi for doing such a great content on living in Manila with great tips!!

Well car traffic makes it pretty hard to breathe in rush hour, that’s a fact. Doesn’t mean Manila is not a good city, I love it!! but it’s something to have in mind, especially while going on a bike wearing a mask helps :)
I find much better place to stay is Cebu you have everything and is a very modern City, the Airport in Mactan is also very close. Manila is simple to big, traffic is horrible. Cebu you have everthing and the way's much shorter.
it's almost unfair that the clean quiet subdivisions south of Manila are never mentioned. I live in an area called Alabang Hills and where I live is very safe and quiet. Actually there are a lot of gated subdivisions south of Manila in the cities of Muntinlupa Parañaque and Las Piñas where going to Makati and BGC is relatively easy because we have the convenience of sky ways. Going to cooler climates is much easier too places like Tagaytay or nuvali villages here in the south are very secure because practically every village is a dated community that do not allow just anyone to enter. there are also access to very good schools and hospitals
