I went to Paris last October (from east coast of Canada). Now I'm finalizing travel plans to Rome and Venice this October. It was the first time leaving my own country so Paris was a bit of a culture shock to me. I still remember the sights and smells like I'm still there. It was amazing yet slightly overwhelming at times mainly because we crammed so much into only 5 days. When we go to Italy in a couple months I will make sure to slow it down more and take in the culture and food! I have a airbnb directly beside the Colosseum. You can see it in every window and only a stone throw away. I can't wait!
Great points! You are so right… whenever it’s the first time visiting any new destination for me and we’re trying to cram a lot in a few days it can certainly be overwhelming! Taking a minute to just sit back and enjoy the journey is great advice. I hope you have the best time in Italy!😊
Great video Dia! My husband and I both watched it. Thank you for sharing an inside look of your family’s European journey. We enjoyed learning about the places visited, lessons learned and videos/photos.
Did you take a plane or train from Paris to Rome that’s the itinerary we’d like to have. We are going in July lol good luck to us our kids will be on summer break
First off great vlog…loved how you documented everything you experienced. I just came back from Paris a week ago and I was getting nostalgic when I saw you video of places you visited. I already want to go back 😀. Everything you hit upon is so right…pictures seriously do not do it justice. Simply in awe looking at the architecture in person is just a wonderful experience. I’ll be going to Rome in October and was excited to see you stayed at the Hotel Artemide. I have that as one of my top 3 hotels I’m considering staying at. It looks so beautiful. I do have to ask..is it in walking distance to most of the top tourist spots? I plan to do a lot of walking like I did in Paris but hoping to be close to the city center. As far as what you stated about the Wi-Fi I’m glad I wasn’t the only one having a bit of an issue. I have data and roaming as part of my service plan with my provider. However downloading a map or just getting directions while out and about was a bit frustrating. It was either very slow or wouldn’t connect. I thought it was me or my phone so when you mentioned it I was glad to know I wasn’t the only one. 😅. But thank you for the great visuals of these beautiful countries.
Thanks for stopping by! So glad you enjoyed the video and found it insightful. Hotel Artemide is really nice and it is centrally located to get to quite a few spots on foot… we did a lot of walking but we did have to get a lift to certain sites like Vatican and Colosseum. The “Free Now” app is great for getting rides. I hope you enjoy your travels!😊
Thank you. My family and I are taking the same trip, Paris to Rome, late 2022 or early 2023. I've been to Paris for work, but it was work. I'm curious, did you fly to Rome or catch a train?
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by😊 We did not need a visa when we visited. Our US passport was all we needed. Well that and positive COVID tests but that may not be a requirement at this time. You may want to check to be sure. You should be able to check with your airline. Hopefully this helps!

Hello, love your video. did you use a travel agent or you booked on your own?
My hubby actually books all of our travel… I’ve tried to convince him to become a travel agent but he has no interest yet lol! Thanks for watching!😊
