Good video but i got mixed feelings on the "hip hop is Black" bit. I agree that hip hop was created by *US* (and Latintos) but i personally feel that its pretty much always been open to everyone. While expression of the Black experience has always been a big part of it, i feel a person's place and validity in it is based more on how genuine they are about *all* aspects of the culture. Legendary emcee KRS-ONE has some old clips of him mentioning legendary white hip hop figures and he also hosted a music video by a Korean emcee, San-E, which showcases emcees from around the world and u can tell they're as hip hop as it gets.
Now that being said, i fully believe Mabu is a culture vulture, not bc of his race but bc his raps aren't genuine to his life. Even if he wasn't out there thugging but lived in the hood and rapped about the environment, it'd be more valid than the frauding he's doing
