Really enjoy your take on the show... you can offer perspective that most do not have. I, for one, am routing for Effie. It's said when someone shows you who they are, believe them. Tariq knew who Effie was... and she's always stayed true to that. I hope she gets out. Divine intervention kept her from killing Lauren. As to Davis, the only prosecutor that would take that case, is a spiteful one (Jenny! ). Great theories!
Harper Bonet will help Josefina Effie Morales get into the Stanford robotic program and hopefully we meet her mother. Effie could hack into a database to get outta the game. Yoli was Effie girlfriend at Yale. Effie could get Noma arrested for not having her American citizenship.
Effie is a big part of the reason why I am increasingly concerned about this being a 'rushed ending'. They have been building this character up ever since OG Power, and there must be a reason for this - presumably that she is either related to, or at least connected to somebody very significant. My theory is that she is either the long lost daughter of Kanan (he doesn't exactly seem to be the fatherly type and neither does he seem to use protection, so to think he could have another child that he either was unaware of or never formally acknowledged is definitely possible), or perhaps a niece or something of Felipe Lobos. Since the St Patrick family are responsible for the deaths of both of these people, either one of these choices would give her a credible motif for revenge. A third theory, though much less likely, is that her 'plug' in OG Power was ACTUALLY GHOST and that she was simply sent to Stansfield by him to watch over Tariq in exchange of money and drugs. Or she may even have access to some of Ghosts will. Very far fetched, but James St Patrick was one of, if not THE slickest character on television. He's essentially like Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad, but while Gus was pure evil Ghost isn't.
i think you’re right about effie possibly offing noma. i think kane will assist with that after he founds out about noma and davis so he can take over as new boss and effie gets out OR he may off effie too!
I think Effie could give up Noma and the Russians for her freedom like Mecca did Lobos. With Anya now moving with Tariq Noma could start looking at Effie like a daughter after that kind of betrayal. Effie's in The Game, level headed and mature compared to Anya and someone Noma could be more honest with since they are both part of The Game. That could easily be the funding for Effies robotics program but Noma might have her work off that debt moving product at Stanford.

We still don't completely know her background and history, she's still a bit of a mystery.
