- B team and I went out for an early spring walleye fishing trip on Lake Erie. We found one lure that really worked this time around.
Capt. Ross Robertson has made his complete living chasing walleye as a full time professional angler for more than 20 years. Through the years he has worn many hats including time as a fishing guide, boat salesman, TV host, outdoor writer, product designer, tournament fisherman, speaker, radio host and podcaster to name a few.
Ross fishes ice-out to ice-up on the Great Lakes. He spends the majority of the year walleye fishing on Lake Erie’s Western and Central basins.

Long story short when fishing nothing leads or deep woth weights its tough to clear lines. Popping the front clip makes it not directional and goes behind the boat. Watch the previous b team bob video we talk about it

that varies a lot depending on what we are doing
Man put the offshore boards away.
Now's the time to run Amish planer boards, they are so much easier than dealing with all those single boards.
Plus l find Amish boards to be so much more of a relaxing fish trip.
Last year at this time we wer running Amish boards in really cold water west of the islands in deep water running bandits at over 3mph & would just slam the fish every time. Never had any other boats around us either.
Time and place for everything. Right tool for the right job is key....going slow and big boards are a no no

I try telling people about those vmc triple grip treble hooks. But they never listen. I don't even know why I waist my time 🙄🎣✌️
I appreciate the tutorial aspect of your videos. Technique to release the board, color is not that important, no rod pumping, how to lose a board.....oops. Hope it was returned to you.
