- If you are unsure whether to fly on Delta or it’s competitors especially in an economy seat, watch this video and decide. Airbus 330-900neo is an beautiful aircraft but are Delta Economy seats any good?
We got these tickets thru Travelocity.com and KLM for $400 per person from New York to Amsterdam and Amsterdam to Tenerife (Canary Islands). $400 is for round trip fare on Delta’s Basic Economy and a return on KLM

Seeing your family flying out of JFK to Europe reminds me of my childhood. My mother took my two sisters and me to Yugoslavia in the early to mid-70s on Pan Am to visit family. The Pan Am Worldport used to exist where the Delta terminal now stands. I'm sure your boys will have the same memories of flying that I still have. Good times.

Saw you just have hand luggage. My favorite part is when at the gate they ask for carry ons to be checked. It saves you hassle especially if your bag is heavy.

Thanks for the info on the plane vs the other delta plane. Searching for flights to Italy for me and my wife for September. We flew there 2 years ago business on business we’re looking to save money and spend the extra cash there. Tickets are not as cheap as Lufthansa economy flex but watching the video and the 2 seat comparison on delta the 400 bucks more is worth it IMO, seams very appealing to us. Food looks better too! Thank you for your feedback, glad you found it helpful. We just flew back on Virgin Atlantic from London and our best advice is to pick your airline with the aircraft. As of now, A330-900neo is an amazing aircraft with new seats and great entertainment screens but the same airline, route and price on an older Boeing 777 or 787 may not be as nice. Hi Deepal, thank you for your comment. We noticed that with US airlines (Delta, United, American etc.) They are much more open to and friendly with us recording the crew. Some even pose for the camera. While our flights on Transavia Airlines, KLM etc. had special announcement that asked anyone not to film the crew due to privacy.

I will be on this plane from MSP to AMS in 2 weeks (an 8.5-hour flight). I have a basic economy seat next to the window seat. Looking forward to it!

Very nice video! Were you able to select your seats? I thought you get yout seats assigned after check-in with basic economy on delta flights.
Hi @wirinkandhai1822 The best part about Delta was that we were able to select our seats a week in advance even for these Basic economy seats. At the time of purchasing the tickets we were not able to select our seats. And We don’t have any status with Delta anymore so we were very pleasantly surprised as well. Ehhh? Nice legroom? Seems tight. I am surprised they allow you to film. The flight attendant seemed very friendly. Lemon Blondie looks interesting. Never had one. Nice video. Thanks. Breakfast looks quite nice. Meals look better than American or United.

Thank you. Delta generally is really good and easy going about hand baggage. And in our experience for this particular flight, since it was not fully packed, there was plenty of available room in storage bins above.
It seems like, just from sight alone, an economy seat on an intercontinental flight is similar to a premium economy seat onboard a domestic flight. I could be totally wrong though
That is what it felt like to us as well. Maybe not as much space at a proper premium economy but it’s definitely a better experience

Hi, I really like your video of theDelta a330-900 neo. We will fly with it next year. I am 1.85cm tall. Do you think the economy chair will be ok for me with the legroom?
Thank you for.your comment and glad you liked the video. If you meant to write that you are 1.85 meters (6 feet) than I believe the economy chair will work. Any taller and the economy seat maybe too snug. Hope this helps
hey! great video, I am just curious about the baggage policy, I know that they say one bag is included with your ticket, but does that mean the bag that you bring with you onto the plane and put overhead or do they mean one checked bag? any info would be appreciated!!

Thank you. For us it was 1 carryon bag that you put in overhead bin that was included in the price of our very cheap tickets. Hope that helps

Hi, we use iPhone 13 Pro Max as our main camera. Our goal is to shoot, edit and Post using the iPhone 13 Pro Max. We do have a DJI Action Cam 2 that we sometimes use for time lapses. Hope this helps

Your flight sounds fantastic. We love Haneida Airoort in Tokyo, especially the duty free shops are always handing out free samples for Honey & Gorgonzola Cheese Cookie from the Tokyo Milk Chesse Factory. And Our favorite airline is Delta. Hope your free meal is delicious
We are doing a similar flight in august and currently have the row in front of this- we are wondering if the bathroom is very loud right there? We have a very light sleeper and are wondering if we should move further from the bathrooms or if they won’t be too loud there
Excellent question. Our flight was fairly good but yes, it can get loud at times with people going in and out constantly at certain times of the flight. If you are a light sleeper then we recommend to move up.
It looks like the Delta Airlines Airbus a330neo is a quiet and comfortable aircraft.
Yes, it’s a newer plane and we enjoyed the economy experience. We just flew on Virgin Atlantic Airbus a330-900neo and the experience was similar although we enjoyed Delta better overall considering the same aircraft and newer seats/layout

Thank you. Although we don’t pay for seats. What we do is check in the moment we can on any airline. That allows us to get first dibs on the open seats. In this case, when we checked in, they assigned us the seats together. We have tried this on Delta, KLM, Emirates, American, United, Transavia, Spirit, Frontier, Air Canada, Swiss, Norse Atlantic etc. it mostly works and very rarely we sit far away.

We booked through agency a trip from Italy to america and I am scared of Flying my Nightmare Is that they sit US in different seats . The agency told me It Is very unlikely to happen since It Is One booking for the 3 of us . Let's Hope
@christianaddattilo5604 does your booking show the seat numbers. If not, as soon as your check-in opens, usually 48 or 24 hours in advance, go to the app and check-in. We always have this fear but try not to pay for seats. Best of luck and safe travels
Did you pay extra for the food? Because I have booked basic economy for this flight as well, but it says that no meals are included…
We didn’t pay for the meals. That is very interesting. Can you share you to and from destinations. I always have a meal on all Delta flights no matter which ticket type. When we flew on Norse Airways, we had an option to skip meal and save $200 which we happily did. Curious about your flight
@@KhizEesa I am flying from AMS-JFK and back. Wonder if it’s because I booked through Virgin Atlantic… I saw some more people who still got a meal on their Delta basic economy flight, so I bet (and hope) there is no need to worry about it.

hey great flight. How was the customer service on there? Are they lenient with checked bags? Would they allow 2-3 kg overweight.
Hi, thanks for the comment. They are a bit strict with weight and may be ok if you are over less than 1kg but we did notice that they were checking everyone really closely

Few with AA 787 from Dallas to Beijing. Worst experience. Had 2 inch recline.. literally upright for 14 hours
Love their customer service. Very courteous. This goes for both ground and flight crew. The economy seats we tried had great recline but we do believe Boeing Dreamliners has overall better recline. The Airbus A330-900 was comfortable enough but when we tried took KLM 787-9 on the return, that was the Best

No, the trolleys (carryon roller bags) were included in our cheap tickets. The tickets at the point of purchase stated carryon bags will be included in the price of the tickets

Flying delta in October of 2024 from Atlanta to Amsterdam. I have a basic economy 💺 seat I'm six feet tall should I be concerned😮?
First of all, your trip sounds great. We miss Amsterdam. As for seat, I believe you should be ok especially with the recline. Just in case you may want to check the website for exact seat measurements for the aircraft you are booked on. We flew A330-900 with newer seats but others can vary. Hope this helps

Yes, the offer both vegetarian and vegan meals on their long haul international and most domestic flights

No, the food on Delta International is very included in the price of the ticket. We didn’t pay extra for the food
If you hadn't written "Economy class", I would have thought it was business class
The new plane and Delta sure made us feel like we were traveling in Economy Plus or better. And we booked the lowest category of Economy (Basic) which made this experience even better
Why you don’t get the windows seat
Great question! As a family of 4, anytime we get to fly in a wide body (Boeing 767, Airbus A350, etc) we love booking the 4 seats in the middle of the plane so we all can be together. Anytime else, we take window seats
@@KhizEesa A350 is 3-3-3 in economy. But not to worry; premium economy on A350 is 2-4-2 😉
@@kevonvideo thank you @kevonvideo, we didnt knew that. About 5 Years ago we took Tap Airlines A-350 and had 4 middle seats in economy. I don't believe we have recently flown in any A-350. And sadly our upcoming fight to Lisbon from New York to Lisbon is on a A-321. Thank you for your comment

@@ProjectSLAW Airbus does offer 10 abreast (4 in the middle), but so far no full service airline has taken that configuration, and let's hope they never will, because it will be a squeeze 😭. Perhaps TAP had one of those on wetlease.

We went back in our pictures. We we in row 40, there was no one in 40a and 40b so I was hopping between that and the middle seat of 40C, 40D, 40F, 40G. Hope this helps
Please how can I get cheap tickets to London or Africa.
If you Re flexible on dates, then you have better chance of looking for cheap tickets. We use Google flights for most of our tickets. In addition we use an app called FareDrop by Kara and Nate (youtubers) that also have great deals. For London, check out Norse Atlantic for a deal. Its a new airline and they run promotions from time to time.

how many people were wearing masks on your flight
Our flight was back in November 2022 and not many people were wearing masks. Since then we have flown more than 15 times and out of a 100 travelers l, maybe 5-10 have masks. On our recent flight to Quito Ecuador, I think I saw 1 person with mask on. Hopefully that was helpful

Great question. No we are not rich by any means but we do have a knack for hunting for deals and we stay within budget (mostly cook our meals and don’t shop etc). One of our favorite deals was buying 4 round trip tickets from New York City to Orlando for $59 total on Frontier airlines. Our recent trip to Ecuador was $1,100 for 4 round trip on Avianca. We also mostly travel with personal items only and never pay for seats. Same with our cruise, our last one on Royal Caribbean was $1,850 for 4 on Anthem of the seas. Hope this helps

Hi @Marcopi72, we had heard similar feedback so we went with our caution hat on. The whole family loved the meal. We compared it to KLM which was pretty good and TAP airlines which was great JFK to LIS but really bad LIS to JFK. The breakfast option was good as well and the eggs were nicely done in the English muffin. Do you know what you ate on Delta? Maybe we can avoid that in future ;)
