Amazing Mustang! I bet you paid a pretty penny for her. Please leave the wheels alone. Are they 15x10 on the rear? What is the tire size? The body lines are perfect! Thanks for sharing! Subscribed.
I love your ‘67 fastback Mustang! It is from my era, but sadly, I never owned one! I was driving an automatic Chevelle SS 396 at 325 horses. Tried to buy a new ‘68 fastback with 390 and four speed but I could not fine one in my area. Drove to NC and found one in Charlotte but sales manager tried to screw me over! Once I realized what was happening I walked out! Boy, oh Boy! Did I ever want that Mustang!
Had a moss green 67 390 GT back in 73, the previous owner had all the paperwork from new. At 4K miles the shortblock was replaced by Ford, the paperwork said warranty service block. They put a 427 shortblock in and used the 390 topend. I replaced the heads with medium riser heads, cam, sidewinder intake, and headers. With 3.89 gears it held it own on the street, ran a best of 12.10 at the track on street tires. Bought a new truck in 79, I remember thinking I got a great deal when they offered me $1500 on trade in.
OMG, man to have that one back? I missed out on a 68 fastback that had a 427 side oiler in it back several years ago in San Francisco that was for sale and could of picked it up for $55K, he originally wanted $68K, had to sell it, I wish I had the money to buy it back then, a 68 with a side oiler, 4 speed, 9" and it passed me by? Stay safe!
I like the ‘67-‘68 fast backs best. I had a ‘69 Mach 1 with a bored out 390 and a ‘70 coupe with a Boss 302 but the ‘67-‘68’s have eluded me thus far. Nice pony thanks for sharing man.🤘🏻🇺🇸
@tuckamorecustomknives4550, Bullsh*T. No factory Boss 302 engine ever came in a Mustang coupe. All were Mustang Fastback cars. No 390 Mustang Mach 1 fastback cars were produced either. As I recall, the 390 came in '69 Mustang GT but GT was discontinued early in '69. I worked at Ford for 40 years as a master level factory certified auto/truck tech.
Thank you, took it out yesterday to a cars and coffee and it ran like a champ! Now with the 5 speed in it OMG ran so well, can't get enough driving in. Thank you and stay safe!
Absolutely stunning. And has the perfect mods. Leave the idle as is. Standard trans cars need a little more idle than the autos. Plus it’s better for the lifters with splash lubrication.
@@frankortiz578 Thank you for the response, it took me so long to find a mustang that had original body panels 0 rust and all original frame rails, the cars solid as a rock. I have about $75-$78K in the car as it sits now with the new 5 speed in it. I'll keep it for a while but if down the road if its up for sale I can let you know for sure. Thank you again.
Thank you, yes all original body panels, no rust and was repainted original color many years ago but has held up well. This is the original color to the car, dark moss green. Sure is a blast to drive!
Guys, the TKO 600 five speed is now installed and I'm telling you that's the way to go. With 3.55 gears and a 5 speed I'm now at 2 grand at 70-75 mph. A 5 speed would be good even with 3.73's in my opinion. I don't think you need a 6 speed unless you have really low gears, i'm mean really low gears in the ass end.
I love this car n ive set myself to getting one in the future. could you give me a few tips n also things people dont realize goes into owning one of these beauties ?
I never understood why Ford never offered the 428 option for the 66-67 Fairlane and the 67 Mustang(not to mention why wasn't the 427 medium riser offered for the 67 mustang like the Fairane). Even the 428 Thunder Jet|Police Interceptor version would have been than the 390. Thankfully the Tasca Ford dealership showed Dearborn what they could have with a standard 428, a set of 427 low riser heads, a GT 390 cam, and a 428 police interceptor intake manifold with a 735 Holley 4V carb.. They listened....and the 428 CJ was born.
Tom thank you for the kind words. Love the car, running really nice and so much fun to drive so for right now no, she's a keeper at least for the time being. I take very good care of this car, never raced, never run hard and always looked after. so this one would be the one to buy! Stay safe! Jerry
Don't you have to have cars checked in California like for emissions, etc. Your governor has gone crazy for electric stuff and exhaust emissions. Just wondering how you deal with that.
No, I'd stay with the TKO 600 5 speed unless you have 4.11 gears or something? But with 3.55 a 5 speed is perfect in my opinion. You don't need the 6 speed. The 5 speed made all the difference and it's perfect with my gears. That extract 6th gear maybe if your rear end is geared really low, I mean really low? 4.10's, 4.11's or lower? The TKO 600 is the better 5 speed so go with that one, not just the regular 5 speed. In my humble opinion I'd stay with that one, TKO 600 five speed! TY Jerry
Another thought, even with 3.73 gears the TKO five speed is the way to go. I really don't think a person needs the 6th gear? 5 if fun to shift, you have the extract gear and at 70-75 I'm at maybe 2 grand! And you really can't drive faster then that with out looking for a speeding ticket? LOL.
I installed new black widow exhaust, will try to upload a video on the sound as compared to these flowmasters.
helo me brazil love mustang 🤯😍😍😍

Beautiful mustangs I have always loved Mustangs.
Sweet. Perfect everything!
Steve McQueen would be drooling.
Ummm... No, I really don't think McQueen drooled much. He just bought what he wanted, or had someone make it for him. After all, he had the means.
The 1967 / 68 Fastback GT is Greatest Mustangs.
Best year of the mustang, like the 69 Camaro, the 67 Corvette, 70 roadrunner.
Une merveille ! quelle chance

Nice Mustang.
I'm thinking it came with the 390 engine.
428 wasn't put into production cars until April 1 /1968.
Yes you are correct, 428 wasn't available until 1968.
I’m drooling
Very beautiful car I’ve also have a 67 fastback mines white with black interior, I’ve got the six cylinder engine in it with a 4 speed tranny
Very beautiful car, I imagine the TKO is a lot of fun now.
Yes the 5 speed makes all the difference for sure! It is a blast to drive now and I drive it, it is not a trailer queen that's for sure. Stay safe.
For sale, I will buy the Mustang

Beautiful car. Nothing sounds as good as an unbridled American V8
Only a Australian unbridled v8 sounds just as good if not better
Nice job, no criticism from my view!

Sweet memories of my green '69 428 R code. Really nice ride. What is the cam in this beauty wicked idle?
Crap I'll have to look that up, I do have the specs but not in front of me. I'll let you know!
Cam is a Comp cam 30-230-4
Beautiful Mustang, but pretty means very little? What is your best ET at the 1320?
Pretty much bulletproof
If you ever want to sell I would be interested. Thanks for the video!

Go the FEs!

In California, only 1976 and newer cars require smog checks.
Are those BFG 295 50s in the back??
i would hate to change those plugs
I pay somebody to do them for me, trick is to take the valve covers off and have the proper tools, then its gets done!
very very very beautiful paint, what exact color is that, it looks too light and metallic to be highland green?
It's dark moss green paint code 2039-A Thank you!
No factory 428CJ engine in 1967.
Correct the 428 did not come out until 1968, this was originally a 289 hipo car.
Put Some High Riser Heads & intake off 427
Any interest in selling?
wow!! just started my resto, what size tires on back, and rim size? didnt think i could fit 50s? please help!! best tire and wheel combo!!
On the back I have 295-50-15's on a wheel that's 15X10 with a 4" off set.
Would you ever sell it? I need that car.
Great looking car.
Is that the Highland green, or should I say Bullitt green ???
The paint is called dark moss green for 1967, its original color but was repainted many years ago.
Highland Green was what this type of green was called in 1968.
Jerry,
Any thoughts of putting a tremec 6 speed in? I've seen a few in some restored mustangs. Thanks!!
