I love this sooo much! I have made 3. Your videos are so easy to follow. Thank you!! Any thoughts on making a video of candy corn? I am still learning and I struggle reading patterns.
That is a very hard question to answer. It really depends on your ability to learn the stitches and techniques. I suggest a lighter color brown if this is your first project so you can see your stitches easier.
Love this wee potato ❤ but its a bit fast for me. Do you have a pattern that I could print out? Being a beginner I find it easier to refer to something on paper. I find if I keep looking at it the pattern starts to make sense to me. I have books to learn the stitches so I'm ok with that 😊
Yes the written pattern is in the description box 🥰 Also, if you ever have a video that’s too fast, RUclips has built in settings on the video you can slow down that way some.
Hi! Love the video but iI am stuck on 1:11 what strings does she get? I noticed she only had two in her hand and left one to the side, I can't figure out which one it was🤦♀
Hey! So during that part I was working on creating the magic ring to start the project. I don’t personally have a tutorial on the magic ring, but there are a lot of really good ones out there and it can be done so many ways. You also can just substitute that part for a slip knot if that is how you are used to starting your projects 😄 Hope this helps!
It would be perfectly fine just a little tighter and smaller. Personally I have grown in crochet skill recently and have gone as far down as a 3.25. The smaller the hook you use the less stuffing shows through, but the more skill it takes to work the stitches.
Yes! Just make sure you size down your hook. Are you wanting to use size three yarn? If so I would try a 2.75 mm hook and see if stuffing still shows through or not. Just know if you use a smaller yarn and hook you will be making a baby-tato instead of the size shown in the video ❤️
The tail should be weaved in on the inside of the potato so it isn’t visible from the outside. If you are right handed, you will know which is the outside because you will continue being able to crochet towards the left. Hope this helps! If not, try searching for explanations on the “right and wrong side of crochet” and you should be able to find more examples of figuring out the inside and outside of amigurumi.
@@TheElfWar If you don’t know how to make a magic circle, feel free to use the chain two starting method. Just today I heard of this positive potato..what’s the story behind it? Just curious..
A lot of people make them as random acts of crochet kindness or as gifts.
Cool..I do something like that..pocket hugs and worry worms etc. where do you find the tags??
I made my own tags on Google docs. I just made a table and then typed in what I wanted my label to say.
do we have to weave in the end?
Yes your project will open if you do not
I’m having a hard time finding a 4.25 mm hook but have a 4mm hook. What effect will that have on the outcome? Thanks!!
It would be perfectly fine just a little tighter and smaller. Personally I have grown in crochet skill recently and have gone as far down as a 3.25. The smaller the hook you use the less stuffing shows through, but the more skill it takes to work the stitches.

Im not sure I understand your question. Are you asking why I wrote it on each line?

Can I make this with small yarn
Yes! Just make sure you size down your hook. Are you wanting to use size three yarn? If so I would try a 2.75 mm hook and see if stuffing still shows through or not. Just know if you use a smaller yarn and hook you will be making a baby-tato instead of the size shown in the video ❤️
After weaving the ends in, do I have to turn the potato back or continue working on that side?

Do you have a video of how to do the magic circle?
I don’t! I am going to do a series of the basics soon 🙂
How much yarn did it roughly take for you to make these?
A very small amount. I don’t weigh my yarn, but I would imagine you could make 10+ from one skien of yarn at least
How long did this take you
Around 20-30 minutes!
Thanks
Are you yarning over?
I believe so
3 sec into the toturial.
