    Why is it always beginner friendly but you all rush through the getting started part lol

    • @phoenixpwcrafting
      @phoenixpwcrafting  Месяц назад +2

      So beginner friendly patterns typically mean that as long as you have a basic understanding of the individual techniques of each stitch then you will have no problem doing the pattern.
      If you aren’t experienced at all with amigurumi, I recommend taking the list of stitches and terms and reviewing a guide of how to do them before starting your project.
      The reason for not including them in every tutorial, is that you only need to learn them once. After that, every tutorial you watch would have 20 excess minutes of material you no longer need.
      I will have a detailed 101 series coming out over the next month that will deep dive into every stitch and term that I use in my patterns.

    • @phoenixpwcrafting
      @phoenixpwcrafting  Год назад

      It would be perfectly fine just a little tighter and smaller. Personally I have grown in crochet skill recently and have gone as far down as a 3.25. The smaller the hook you use the less stuffing shows through, but the more skill it takes to work the stitches.

    • @phoenixpwcrafting
      @phoenixpwcrafting  Год назад

      Yes! Just make sure you size down your hook. Are you wanting to use size three yarn? If so I would try a 2.75 mm hook and see if stuffing still shows through or not. Just know if you use a smaller yarn and hook you will be making a baby-tato instead of the size shown in the video ❤️

    • @phoenixpwcrafting
      @phoenixpwcrafting  Год назад

      The tail should be weaved in on the inside of the potato so it isn’t visible from the outside. If you are right handed, you will know which is the outside because you will continue being able to crochet towards the left. Hope this helps! If not, try searching for explanations on the “right and wrong side of crochet” and you should be able to find more examples of figuring out the inside and outside of amigurumi.

    How much yarn did it roughly take for you to make these?

    • @phoenixpwcrafting

      A very small amount. I don’t weigh my yarn, but I would imagine you could make 10+ from one skien of yarn at least

      If you need a tutorial on how to crochet I suggest starting with hooked by robins tutorials

      If you are used to starting amigurumi with the chain 2 method you can use that instead.

    This is not beginner friendly you did not show to to make the circle

    • @phoenixpwcrafting
      @phoenixpwcrafting  3 месяца назад

      @@RobooxUserIsEl_TedArian If you don’t know how to make a magic circle, feel free to use the chain two starting method. The very first thing I put on the screen was the stitches and terms you need to know to do this pattern. There are many crocheters who have made tutorials for how to do individual stitch methods. I myself am working on a crochet 101 course.
      The reason I don’t include how to do every stitch in every one of my tutorials is that it would more than double the tutorial time for everyone else.

      @@RobooxUserIsEl_TedArian I am really confused as to what circle you are asking about if it is not the magic circle/ring. I’m sorry my video didn’t work out for you. Hopefully you were able to find something that did.

    • @phoenixpwcrafting

      @@RobooxUserIsEl_TedArianit is a technique called working in the round. You work in a continuous circle instead of chaining one at the beginning of each row.
