i’ve finally figured out why this song holds such a deep-rooted importance in my life. it’s the message behind it. in the song it talks about how you can be the nicest person in the crowd, do everything to deserve happiness and to deserve to achieve your dreams, and still end up lost, upset and feeling alone. how you might be hurt, but that’s ok. it doesn’t make you worth any less. that just because something is in the past, doesn’t mean it doesn’t still hurt. and that someone is always there for you even when you feel most alone. i guess it just really hits home.
Well that defines my life. Now I simply only care about my own happiness should I ever find it. Be that good guy you finish last or pretty close to it. Eventually your struggle inside gets to big to hide. My grandmother found that out. Making a comment if I found a girl of x type or character she would not favor it but accept it. My response is no person will impede my happiness and her opinion along with other family are void. Assuming that person was what I needed. Catch is if you did not succeed being good and caring, at present society odds are you will still fail or have to settle. Funny thing is me know is nothing even close to me at 25-27 which is when I started my change by force. We all struggle, I do feel some don’t even get past being used stage by others.
It makes me think of a place I visit often in my dreams....... I would love to be able to go there in real life. If only I could find a place like that one.

I think a song like this can stir something inside each of us that we’ve never felt has been filled, and it can drive us to keep chasing that feeling until we can comprehend what that sensation is. And I think there’s a small part of us that’s never filled, but that’s alright because that’s what motivates us to keep dreaming, keep running, keep soaring. I think that ‘something wild’ is us. So, I just had to look it up and bookmark the song. When I saw that Lindsey had written it, it just made the song that much better for me.

A dead end job isn't the entirety of life, good person! Pick up a pen, a book, something that inspires you to go on an adventure. Even a small one. Stop for a few minutes to pick up a geocache. Go on a walk on a short trail and see what you can see. Sometimes the adventure is being present and in the moment for a walk around the block and notice all of the interesting things you can make a story about while you're out there.

Pete's Dragon is such an underrated Disney animated movie and underrated Disney live action adaptation movie. It's one of few Disney live action adaptations that truly respect and honor it's faithfulness of the source material in my opinion
