Thank you for sharing your story. It inspired me to keep fighting for what I consider my deepest and truest passion: acting.

Now that it has been some time, can you disclose the project name? I’m just curious. I just landed my first lead role after years of hard work.

Hey I'm an actor from Vancouver, great video, sorry you lost the part, I'm sure more equally great or better opportunities will arise! Cheers!

@@LexElectric Cannot say enough how much I admire your attitude, Lexi.
As a young actor, you've really taught me that you can never get too complacent; that even getting the role isn't always a point of celebration.

@@ADSuri Thank you for your comment. It was a hard lesson for me to learn, but I am glad it has helped others!

@@LexElectric Can I tell you something though, Lexi? 🤭
I've actually been on the other side of this.
Early this year, I booked my first leading male role in a grad film.
But that was partly because they needed to replace the original actor who had been fired after the screen test. 😬
So, I know that if this ever happens to me, it's just my own karma coming back full-circle. 😜

@@ADSuri congrats on the role! The only thing we as actors can control is ourselves and our craft. Looks like you did just that.

Don’t you get used to the rejection? There are just way too many actors and a limited amount of parts to distribute.

Yes rejection is very standard. The tough part for me was I had already started filming and then lost the role due to union issues.
