Good Morning; Thank you; I'm 60 & a bit new to this. After quite a lot of research I bought one of these 'Moza' mounts and your advice is invaluable; cannot thank you enough. I wish 'though, that you could also advise on any 'For Dummies' editing software might be available for a (near to his retirement age), 'Brit', which didn't require me to take a degree to understand it, and that I could get the hang of 'just the basic functions of' in just an hour, ( .. or seven), .. but with enough 'advanced' features to allow me to study each 'added' feature as I needed it; (also one really 'urgent' need is to get the Moza and my camera to 'follow' me as I move; lots of videos around re. this, but is still taking a bit of thought !) .. Ah well .. must 'crack-on' .. Thanks again, Mr.Swann, S/W England.
Thanks. I'm looking at a gimbal fro my Nikon z6 and the air2 looks to be the best but weight distribution a problem. This certainly addresses it. Great clip and sensible advice. Happy for any other tips for rigs for Nikon z series cameras.
Great video. Thank you. It is very timely for me. I am A Zhiyun Crane 1.1 user frustrated with not being able to use any but the smallest camcorders. I am looking to get the Moza Air 2 for the AX100 and leave the Crane for A7S ii. That would be a great combination on location. Your introduction to Air 2 accessories gives me plenty of ideas about getting more controlled creative moves out of a gimbal, and saving my arms in a long shoot.
Sorry guys unfortunately only air 2. You can get a Smallrig cheese plate that fits the aircross 2 socket near the back trigger button, and you can then attach anything to that so handle, sling, magic arm, you name it.
Excellent video David. I'm using the Moza 2 with a Nikon D850 and Nikon glass - Jeeez! That makes for a heavy combination. Just ordered the handle and strap combo to make the gimbal more controllable. Thanks for doing the vid, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Cheers! 👍
@@dodmedia Heavy just isn't the word! It makes my GoPro and ZhiYun gimbal look like a toy. Anyway, who needs a gym, just use the Moza 2 Combo for making videos and I'll soon be like Popeye. Great vids David. Keep up the great work.
Hey sorry this is such a late reply! This is the rail I'd recommend, it's the flattest and shortest one: geni.us/5IlMek and this is the clamp that'll give you the most flexibility: geni.us/JlAaTAj
QUESTION!!! First, thanks for walking us through your really well though out set up! My question is which small rig nato rail to nato rail are you using? I looked it up and there are a lot of options.
How do u balance ... Before putting on all the extra accessories or putting partial accessories ? Does the extension pole goes on before balance and auto tuning ?
Yeah I'd recommend you balance it with the monitor on the handle and HDMI cable plugged in, then you can add the extension pole once it's all balanced since that won't affect its balance.
Wow! So cool! Thanks for sharing. Does this set up influence your camera set up of the gimbal? I mean, if you take off the arm and the monitor would you still have to rebalance the gimbal? Do you also have suggestions on how to attach a microphone?
To attach a mic I'd say your best bet is to use the rosette 3/8th mount on the front of the gimbal. You want your mic to be as close to the source of since as possible
My favorite part about the front 3/8 is them claiming that it's a rosette mount. It's literally a rubber gasket with ridges in it. Rosette is a standard. Love the gimbal, but really? They're going to claim it's a rosette? Just put a real one on their.
Yeah agreed it would actually have cost less to print the groves into the plastic of the gimbal than it did to source a rubber piece that then needed to be glued in...
Hi David, hope you are keeping well. Ok so here's a thing. I loved what you did to your Moza with the handle and the extension, so I thought, Great! I'll do that (seems like a sensible thing) Only I'm a plonker and I bought the wrong handle, I bought the one for the Ronin S (Doh!) now totally my fault and so I thought, if any of your viewers have a Ronin and would like the handle, I'm giving it away - call it a Covid pleasantry. I do not have the reach that you do so I wondered if you might mention it in a vid on an Insta post. It's all in the box, it's all spanky brand new and it's going going gone to whomever wants/needs it. I am happy to remain annon if you want to offer it as a giveaway on your channel - just seems a shame for it to go to waste.
*I almost said "Let's get Undone" there...*

So crazy, my brother gave me this hand-me-down & I literally accessorized it the exact same way 😦
Such a great setup.
I use it a lot in my Boosted board (electric skateboards)
Oh! I also use a steadygum sling to minimize bounce and fatigue.
How would you mount microphones on there? That rig looks great.

Hi, Another great video thxs :) do you know by any chance if that handle will fit moza aircross 2 or only moza air 2 ?

Its a bloody nice Gimball :)
I just bought this gimbal because of the “mod” ability you showed here!

which Nato rail to Nato rail are you using?

How about this? It depends where you're based. geni.us/5IlMek and geni.us/JlAaTAj
hello does it fit on the air cross 2 ?
Unfortunately not but they do have accessories for the aircross 2
@@dodmedia ok thanx am gonna take a look 😉
Can this handle be attached to Moza Aircross 2?
Unfortunately not
Hey man, do you think the sling grip will fit on the aircross 2 as well?
Sad to say it doesn't. However I did see some aircross 2 gear on Smallrig like a cheese plate to add NATO rail to etc
So you could add a loop nut to that and the strap to that
I've been using this and I find that it keeps slipping and jamming the gimble. I have to keep adjusting it to allow the gimble to move properly
Do you have any problem with HDMI cable on this position? My cable unbalance the gimbal when I try to use ninja V
No problems on my side, the cable is so light that the unbalance becomes negligible when you turn on the motors.
My favorite part about the front 3/8 is them claiming that it's a rosette mount. It's literally a rubber gasket with ridges in it. Rosette is a standard. Love the gimbal, but really? They're going to claim it's a rosette? Just put a real one on their.
