cool demo ! I' ve just found out about this pedal. V1 seems to have been around for years whereas this simplifief version is fairly new. I would really like to know: Does it use a lightpulb and photecells like the original Uni-Vibe ? Does the fuzz use silicon or germanium ? Since its produced in China my guess is silicon and digital.

I can't say whether the fuzz uses silicon or germanium, sorry. The vibe does use a bulb and photocells though.

@@borrowingspace Cool, thanks for the info ! Did you open yours up ? The photecells are essential to the sound of a real uni-vibe in my opinion. I' tried a few pedals that used other methods but they always sound thin and onedimensional to my ears. Even EHX' "Good Vibes" does not really nail the sound, maybe it's because they use an LED instead of an old fashioned bulb. Danelectro's "Chicken Salad" does a pretty good job in comparison. Regarding the Fuzz silicon is fine imho.

Yeah I popped mine open, that said I couldn’t tell you if it’s a white LED or a different kind of bulb being used here. I’m not the most familiar with vibes, I do have the Animals Pedals Car Crush and I like how the vibe mode on that sounds. That uses an array of 4 red LEDs above photocells so I guess it’s non traditional, I think the chorus sound on that is a little weak but the vibe sounds good to me
