Nice video David 👌 I think Wakefield council should have made their recycling bins blue rather than having brown for both recycling and garden waste, it would be less confusing to the residents
Yeah, it'll all get sorted at the recycling centre... both the garden team and ther household teams could'nt get access to this back road due to a badly parked van, so we turned up an hour later to get everything !!
but they got contaminated if they were collected together because they will get mixed and if they get mixed they will get dirty which can result the whole load of garden waste ending up in general waste
@@catbreath007 2 weeks ???? what ???? this is going to smell a lot and overflow but going to waste is not a good solution either they should have more frequent collections and use 2 trucks for example my council does daily collections from monday to friday
@@catbreath007 wouldn’t be surprised if you get them, there’s new government legislation coming in regarding quality of recycling and also mandatory separate food waste collections. All houses in urban areas will be required to have either a separate collection for food waste, or to collect it in garden waste bins. There’s going to be a ban on mixing all recycling together to improve material quality. Chances are you’ll get a second recycling bin for glass, metal and plastic, with paper and cardboard staying in the existing bin
I'm a binman too and the job makes you stronger.
True look on the picture that’s me not peeking on but when j am older j want to be one

that's true
It's not confusing as just about all Wakefield residents can read the writing on the bins 😁
@@catbreath007 ah ok then
@@catbreath007 some can't I bet 😂.
Great video David! Good to hear it's all sorted 👍
Good vid
Brilliant video! Shame it all had to go in the same truck but it has to happen sometimes. Keep it up mate 👍
Yeah, got to keep the public happy at the end of the day 👍

That's good to hear, is that the same truck as the one from the first garden waste collection of 2021
@@theicebox3610 ... I've no idea !!

@@recycleman975 ... This is the best & easiest option, it's either this or the public wait another 2 weeks for their next collection ....

Pity your council doesn't have 2 compartment trucks
Not yet anyway .....

Mixing all the waste like this is unacceptable and there is no excuse for it!
Enjoyed the video, it would speed you up a lot if ya had the Olympus twin packs
Not if he had to go to two separate tips and if the smaller side rammed out quicker
I’m talking about 50/50 split twin pack
