Lockup is definitely an under-rated worker placement game...the hidden info, almost blind bidding really makes the game with that extra tension. I have this expansion but haven't gotten it to the table yet...looking forward to playing it though!
@@InterferenciasRGYes, still playing it...and the expansion is fun. The escape route is just another way to get points, but the hero or whatever at the bottom that changes each round adds more fun deliberation.
I played many games of the base game with all player counts and so far I've played once with the expansion. I totally agree with the review. The expansion is great and I think I'll probably almost always use it going forward. The only reason I might not is game play time; for an AP group like mine it adds more stuff to think about and does slow the game down quite a bit. Enjoyable, but doesn't fit in the same time frame it use to. If we have the time though I'd always play with it.
@7:01 Glad to hear this adds diversity to Lockup. It was sorely missing POC representation. I'm continually heartened by how much progress the boardgames industry has made in this regard. Cheers!
Joking right? First off I think he meant gameplay diversity. Second, the world of Ulos has SO many different races and colors. Gnolls, kobolds, frogkin, dragonkin, vampires, trolls, goblins, etc. They have skin colors red, green, white, black, purple, etc. Surely you aren't serious about POC issue with this universe? It's not even relevant here.
The smashed box in the end- HEART SANK!! hahaha great vid Tom!
The hammer's strike is awesome!!

Hey there! How's the game going after two years? do you still play it?
Yep, why not?

I can't believe you crushed the box at the end. You've never done that before! Feeling angry!?!
I've never done it before? :)
@@thedicetower Yes! I watch a ton of your reviews and I have never seen you crush the game box with your gavel!
@@tomworks8004 Oh, I've done it 50-100 times. It's always an expansion box where I plan to keep the stuff in the main game. No worries!
@@thedicetower heh. Ok. I'll be on the lookout for the next time! Keep on gaming! Keep on reviewing!
I remember him smashing a box from Eldritch Horror (Cities in Ruin I think). I was horrified haha.
This is a great little expansion! If you enjoy the base game, get it!!
What about the tunnel tokens? Did not see them on the component review.
Yeah, they were the chunky wooden tokens at the beginning

casual calimala in background
I gotta lookup lockup.
Lol fortunately the expansion fits in the box
I was about to say "Relax people, it all goes nicely into the core box" :D :D :D
The hammer smash!! haha! :)
You seem to be having some weird focus issues lately on the intros, I'm sure you have noticed but it's pretty distracting.
