Today I'm working on a 12 x 16'' canvas and I've named it 'Squid Dance" as to me it looks like squid or octopus dancing when it's in portrait orientation! What can you see?
Pillow/Base:
British Paints Interior Low Sheen house paint in White, nothing added.
Colours:
Background:
TLP Macaw (Interference blue/green/gold)
TLP Ballgown (Interference gold)
TLP Sequins (interference violet)
Pearlex Interference Red
Jo Sonja Iridescent Turquoise
Swipe:
#tlp Show Pony (Shimmery hot pink)
TLP Afterglow (Neon peach/pink with lots of shimmer and gold shift)
TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Pearlex Duotone Aqua Blue
Matisse Southern Ocean Blue
Pebeo Iridescent Green Blue
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish.

Cell Activator (CA):
Amsterdam Titanium White mixed 50:50 with Atelier Titanium White
This was mixed with Australian Floetrol, no silicone was added or any other oils.
I never measure ratios, I mix until it leaves a slight trace when drizzled from around an inch above the surface. If I had to take a guess on the ratio it would be 2:1 or 2.5:1 (Floetrol to paint).
My style has changed and evolved dramatically since I took the Sheleeart E-Course and I can't recommend it enough!

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too.
My metal spatulas are artist pallet knives, they can be purchased from fluid-art.co/ or independent art stores.

Whimsical. Delicate..I see a court jester with a hat and beard holding a genie 🧞♂️ lamp! And if you turn it different ways..there’s a butterfly 🦋 wing..and also a gorgeous flower petal!! This one really sparks the imagination. I love these colors!!

Amazing!! I love the colors and the movement in the painting. To me I see a magician with his hat, beard, arms and legs stretched out winding up to perform a daring feat of magic. Hi Niki, another georgeous painting. I 💘 love this new background of laying down the interference colors. They make the most exquisite lacing or webbing. The delicate sheen invites one to just gaze at it over and over. It's really interesting how it looks embossed and raised. Does it feel flat to the touch? Then layering the color combinations and doing a swipe and transfer techniques just makes an impressive painting. One question, what are interferes paints, what does it mean. I would just like to learn more about the acrylic pour painting world?
Oh goodness I don't know scientifically how they're made, but somehow the mica reflects light of different colours when looked at by different angles
What is Meant by ‘Interference Color’? Im new to pouring.
I don't really understand the science behind it, not sure if Google can explain better than me.. It's mica pigments that don't contain colour but reflect colours in different lights and angles
