Nice one. I love getting into the brush or snags. So many fish hide in the trees, although I'm usually after bigger Barramundi and Jungle Perch. Andysfishing
just discovered crappie fishing after living on the west coast my whole life. This was the most informative video I have ever seen. I like how it was stressed to go slow and be calm. There is no way I would have ever tried this without seeing this video. Now I need the ice to thaw and some Roadrunners. Not sure what they are but I will find out. Please give me an idea on tackle used to do this. Were these fly rods? I have plenty of those. Thank you, Mike and Aaron (son in the picture)
hi Karl. made a post on one of your other video about were i can do crappie fishing in Chicago. As child there a place called Lincoln Park it was pure fun to catch crappie. as years went by park have change, can't fish there. I would love to get that fun feeling back again. let me know of some locations please, thank you sir.
+Reggie Anglin I would suggest you post a inquiry on www.crappie.com forum and I am sure local anglers in that area will be more than willing to assist you, thx
I have been fishing in the stumps and brush like that and the stumps produce more for me the brush just kicks my butt. I'll have to try that slow drop and rise. Thanks for the tip.
I use no less than 10' rod sometimes 12 to fish buck brush at Rend. Ck out Grizzly Jig Co. There are a few Brush rods on the market. You need a stiff rod.
+ExtremeAnglerTV I know right? but its a small pound. But still it's very very fun to. You got huge sunfish in there gills and green sunfish. You got big bass and some good size bullhead to 3 and 4lb bullhead.
Absolutely love rend lake! Monster crappie, catfish, and bass! Can't beat it

Go to union lake Minnesota the best black crappie fishing all nice well fed and huge
Great show surprised you aren't getting snagged up
we did, but by slowly raising and dropping the baits into and thru the branches we kept the snags to a minimum

very welcome
Nice video, fishing in brush like that does it matter what size rod you use. And what size do recommend ?.
I use no less than 10' rod sometimes 12 to fish buck brush at Rend. Ck out Grizzly Jig Co. There are a few Brush rods on the market. You need a stiff rod.
Was the pole you were using called the slab grabber by chance
+Trey Rogers B n M 10 foot jiggin pole
Okay because I have a pole like that called the slab grabber by Mr. Crappie, it's like yours but it has a different wreel. By the way I love the show.
What size jig head are you using? 1/8th or 1/16th oz.
1/8th oz
There is a place I go for 12 to 13inch Average Black crappie. All the time when I catch them that is how big they are. They slam on Fathead minnows.
+sinosuke12345 sounds like a place we want to fish.
+ExtremeAnglerTV I know right? but its a small pound. But still it's very very fun to. You got huge sunfish in there gills and green sunfish. You got big bass and some good size bullhead to 3 and 4lb bullhead.
nice, good luck this season
what type or name of roadrunner is that, with the willow leaf blade???
Pro series
Its actually 20 cabins.,501 to 512,,513 to 522
we stand corrected, thank you.
r they fly fishing
Justin Dwight no, dropping small lures into tight little pockets in the flooded brush for crappie
the more crappie you have says that your lakes flathead catfish population is bad.
Why use such an expensive jig when your putting on a worm?
Especially in that thick cover!
thats what they wanted, some flash and smell; Kyle fishes for these bush slabs fulltime, when he says use it, I do.
