I reckon their contracts would have stipulations that they can't coach, or provide advice/guidance, to any other teams (whether at rep level or otherwise) while employed at their respective clubs to avoid any conflicts of interest.

For the Blues the series is on the line maybe the shoe is in the other foot now. What will happen if NSW loses the series in Melbourne ? Will they sack the coach coz they lost the series I suppose not. It might come to bite them big time.
I don't think this comment is a good tactic for a mind game. I have the utmost respect for coach on both sides who have given a difficult task to prepare their team for each game.

For QLD to have a "Forward Heavy Bench" tells me they're expecting one of their forwards to be taken out early in Game II. Meaning another NSW player will be sent off like the Game 1 scenario. Another easy win for QLD in those situations.

Remember what Paul Harragon said years ago about chopping and changing and when NSW lose they panic and change 5-10 players every Origin series because it’s human nature, we never learn from our mistakes. Look at QLD’s dominant history and how they stick with the same team or same core group, remember when NSW won 50-6 in 2021, did QLD end up changing their entire squad, no, because they have trust in the process.
Very easy to say when you had a stacked side for so many years. They were also very lucky that key players remained injury free. When QLD wins they're insufferable, when they lose, they take their bat and ball and go home.

Hudson Young being dropped for a utility/back-up hooker is the only mistake by Madge. Watson should've been picked for game 1.
@@auzziguy449 Munster is a veteran of the QLD team. He’s picked year in year out. NSW have gone through 10 different halves combinations in the last 5 years. That’s the difference. NSW are playing in the back foot whereas QLD has the same combinations ear in year out.
