I’m listening to this video from Bansha, Co. Tipperary as I trace my family history from America. My cousins were part of the Tipperary 3rd Briggade and were murdered by British forces in 1920. This gentleman’s rendition of Galtee Mountain Boy makes me so proud of my heritage. Beautiful job!
I'd say Planet RTE would consider showing this if they were told that the singer owned a bank or was a fat-cat Eurocrat. I would pay good money to watch an entire concert of this man singing. By Jayz, this is epic.
Patsy Died back in around 2000ish . He's my Dads first cousin . I spent alot of time as a young lad in Patsys brothers house which was next door to Patsys . His brother the Bok is a fine singer also
Another 17 seconds of head shaking and the head was definitely going to roll off his shoulders Either that or the crack he smoked earlier that evening was rocket fuel 🚀

Are you still watching it?
And twice on a Sunday.

Did you watch it tonight?
Some people laugh I admire hes passion for this song being from west clare i get it and love it with all my
Heart
No flashing lights ,no dancing girls ,no echo box, no voice changers ,no computers or fancy stuff, just a big Irish heart with sincerity.
And a good voice too!
Oh be quiet.
absolutely, my home country of Wales used to be able to put on spontaneous singing in Cardiff,
Effing fantastic, real passion and pride, good man.

I'm not Irish, but this does fill my heart with pride and joy. I would say strangely but it's not strange at all. Passion!
Anyone can sing a song. I might sing one myself on occasion if nobody is listening. But to be INSIDE a song. Now. That’s another thing.
He is so convincing, like he was really there in all that battles
He wrote it.
You don't see musical passion like that in the modern music! Only from an Irish passionate heart.
go raibh maith agat, Patsy

Feckin’ brilliant! As a son of Tiobraid Arann, this is as good as it gets.
What a legend
Euro vision song contest for him ,, definitely a winner ,he'd go head first into the Euro vision and win it ,,
Fair play. Love it. This is the sort of real stuff that should be on RTE - and at prime time to boot.
Unfortunately for Irish patriots RTE is run by Communists like Simon Coveney. They despise Nationalism.
Aw bog average

Great to hear the RIGHT version was told by a man from Clonmel in The 80s that Christy Moore got it wrong.
He wrote the song and was friends with Christy when Christy worked in the bank in Clonmel.

My great great great grandmother laura o'farrell would be poud 🇮🇪
Up the good guys. They did what they felt had to be done when democracy was denied.

Patsy Died back in around 2000ish . He's my Dads first cousin . I spent alot of time as a young lad in Patsys brothers house which was next door to Patsys . His brother the Bok is a fine singer also

Pasty O'Halloran
@@tomomahonycomedy thank you
patsy o halloran , he wrote it
@@colinmolloy9537 Is Patsy still with us? He's kept a pretty low profile for having written the best song ever.
The man who wrote the song! One of my all time favorites. T.G. that this was recorded! BRAVO!
By Jesus they don't sing them like that anymore.
🤣💯
The Civil War was one of the worst things that ever happened in Ireland. Nothing great about this song and people shouldn't be fooled by it.
What a stupid and completely ignorant thing to say.
That's fine if you haven't mad men running the country. Irexit
Brilliant 👏 👏 👏
Brilliant
