Hello Daniel, Being a fan of this group, I follow all your publications and thank you very much for allowing us to experience their concerts, not having the possibility of seeing them live (I live in France!). Unfortunately, I deplore Austin's departure but it is his choice. Will you have the opportunity to attend his last concert with Home Free? I really wanted to see it at least once! Thanks again.

I am hoping to see another HF show when I can, but who knows, that could take a couple of years til then. I'm sure others will video it and post to youtube
Also, Austin was supposed to have a few more months, but HF announced two days ago that they decided to let the new guy start this week. Sad Austin is leaving earlier than expected

Such a pity Austin's "farewell tour" didn't in fact happen due to legal shenanigans by the band's management and the decision to pretend he doesn't exist. Cancelling his appearances without telling him, so he had to find out from Facebook, is pretty low. Austin loves the fans, wanted to say goodbye, and thought the band were among his closest friends, so he remains deeply disappointed. Not much return for winning the band the SingOff, providing some of their most iconic arrangements,, writing most of the songs on one album and giving the band a unique sound.
I didn't realize management did that. That freaking sucks. I know it was Austin's choice to make to leave and I am happy for him. However Home Free did lose the unique voice and the "it" factor. Bastein is a great singer and he sounds good with the others but 12 years ago he didn't cut it so even though he has grown, he just doesn't have that :it" thing.
