I am 77 years old. I always idolized Dion, and Dion & the Belmonts. I have so many original 45s I played relentlessly. I’m so happy for his revived success on Broadway.
As for this recording. Great job making it feel real.
I have to wonder though: what Dion was thinking when he looked into the audience and saw all this people who seemed like they ALL wanted to be somewhere else.

people weren't ready for this kind of music when it first hit, it is why they didn't dance to it, and looking lost, with their life problems. it was the first time they made contact with this kind of art. ofcourse nowadays it is still something that makes you wanna shake your body immediately, even decades after..Love Dion for that !
Im only 26 so only my kid enjoys it but i love playing these through the house. To me alot of these songs are timeless, great for working, cooking, etc

This song was composed with African American musicians and singers but was told this would be cut from the movie if not swapped for the white band. Dion allegedly gave the money from his appearance and shared it with his actual band members. That’s the story I read, hopefully accurate

Just curious why does the color come and go in these 5k restored videos?
When colorizing an image, the algorithms assign specific colors to the shades of gray according to their shape, position in the scene, contrast and luminosity. While the algorithms rarely make a mistake with sky, grass, metal, wood, furniture, stone and faces, which always have the same colors in life, it's more difficult with clothes, as there are many different colors...
What's more, in a video, which is a sequence of images, if there's a lot of rapid movement, the shades of gray in the same area change slightly in hue, since they're lit differently, and the color assigned is slightly different, which causes the flickering.
