I have 1st hand knowledge of what resides there. After the mcminiamin purchase a mechanical contractor i worked part time for eas contracted to remodel the commisary behind the main building. It was very old with a hook and rail system on the ceiling from an open butcher room into the the refrigerated walk in cooler. Old wooden walls cork insulation heavy thick steel bolstered cold storage doors on the walk ins. I remember thinking what a marvel it woukd be to resore to early 20th century granduer. I was tasked to install the new freon system to be installed in the cooler and freezer boxes. I started installing the compressor units up in the attic space it was just like any old attic space one would imagine for a building of its size and age. My work started about 6pm it was winter and well after dark then. I remember that all of the trees and plant life looked dead not just dormant. I climbed up to the attic with tools, equipment and started running the copper pipe to the cooler and freezer. At somepoint a few hours into it i felt a chill and an unbridled panic consume me and my heart pounded so hard it stzrtled me. It didnt increase in tempo it just pounded harder. I dropped everything and ran. Im sure that something was hot on my heels. I pulled myself into my van and screamed out of there confused and terrified. My drive back to beaverton calmed me and i laughed at my foolishness. Swearing to never admit how it shook me. The next morning was a saturday and i arrived to meet the plumber and his son who were working as well. Embolden by the sunlight and company i worked and completed most of my tasks just after noon. The plumbers son and i chatted about how creepy this place was and he said " you need to see what i found last week, its the most terrifying thing ive ever seen" betraying my inner voice i said " lead the way". We entered the main building proper thru a rear entrance. Like a hospital there were countless rooms of all sizes. All littered with leaves and debris and every wall seemed covered in graffiti. We wound around and up the levels. The sunlight our only salvation. finally we reached a top floor area west end of building 2nd or 3rd floor i cant remember. Police crine scene tape strewn liberally across the foyer floor. We entered a room and as i panned in a circle it appeared that a red substance was smeared with fingers in a circular pattern around the room. Not just one hand but dozens of circuits of dried blood coated the perimeter. The kid smiled and gestured at my feet. I looked down and i was standing in the center of an intricately painted pentagram symbol. Its center, body and edges mounded with melted wax stalagmites inches tall. I immediately froze my gaze to a wall across from me and a black circle approx. 48" in diameter was painted with the words "Satans mirror" painted in an arc above and below it.
Needless to say i was right back to the previous nights adrenelin rush i kept my cool even when he pulled several amimal skeletons from the floor register ductwork.
    I had enough!
I asked my boss why he didnt tell me about the place?
He replied with a grin " i didnt think you would go there if I did"
I have to agree.. i wouldnt have!

I 1as told at the time that a cult was responsible. Crime scene tape isnt used for shites and giggles. I was told that the official history is quite vanilla compared to the actual circumstances surrounding its past.
Places have a life unto themselves, humans might be the initial creztive force but that colkective wnergy and intent is what gives our homes, buildings and lands their own force, essense- a life.
Living things have memories just like we do. We imprint ourselves and our actions upon everything we touch. Our exoeriences are registered at every heartbeat.
Just like the haunting dreams and memories that stir and haunt us our surroundings have their own trauma that can and will play out. This building has seen its share to be sure.

I e been scouring youtube allnight.
Thete are supposed ghost hunters who have surveyed the establishment.
Look im by no means a professional ghost hunter and they probably truely shouldnt exist.
But im here to tell everyone that all the touchy feely mamby pamby
New age bull crap is laughable. In fact with this perspective in mind its glaringly obvious, you are laughed at by them and mocked.
You have to invigorate these energies by raising your tenacity and focus. You have to call it out or it wont take you seriously.
May sound insane but ill bet you i will have a full blown ghost busters whirlwind given a few ticks and some decent micro brew!
( shameless self promotion and attempt at free grog doesnt lessen my seriousness one bit!) Ha! Haha!

Yep they say it’s haunted. I just did a storytime of growing up near it and what it was like before McMenamins came and saved the historic property… I’m taking local squatters engaging in ritual bunnycide so not a story for the fainthearted. But some kids lived next door and had to endure watching it out their window every night. And once the JackA boys filmed there. So I shared some storytimes of the place in my Growing Up in Rock N Roll series. It was an abandoned poor farm & they say it’s haunted. I also tell the legend of the black rabbit.
