James Shires + Wanting What Jesus Wants - Oklahoma Camp Meeting

"Moses was invited to meet God at a burning bush and began a deeper and closer relationship. God later resurrected him and took him to heaven to continue that relationship. Enoch was invited to walk with God, and they grew so close that he walked into heaven with God. Elijah walked with God until God came down to escort him to heaven in a chariot. The first disciples were asked by Jesus to come and follow Him, to walk with Him. Our theme this year is "A Closer Walk."
We have been invited by Jesus to meet Him at Wewoka Woods and to grow in our walk with Him. The yearning we all have in our hearts for something more and better is put there by the Holy Spirit as an invitation to connect with Jesus in a deeper and more intimate way. As the coming of Jesus draws closer, our greatest need is to draw closer to Him. That's one of the reasons for Wewoka Woods and Camp Meeting. We are glad you responded to the invitation. Let's all pray that this year our walk will grow closer." -President James Shires
