I can also see someone being set off by this and beating the crap out of her for it. Aerosol messes up my sinuses something fierce if I inhale; but applying spray deodorants properly never have that issue. So if someone did that to me, you best believe there would be staff having to pry me from her, and if she is unlucky, they would also have to stop me from spraying it directly in her nose.
If I was the GF, I would've NFL tackles her and hit the crap out of her until someone pulled me off.

@@OmniscientWarrior when I was going through a rough time with my asthma, one of those perfume sample people sprayed the perfume she was promoting into my face as she was asking if I wanted to try it. My best friend snarled at her "she has asthma. You should have asked first" and the perfume lady just wilted under her gaze before taking me to sit on a bench and take my inhaler because I was just choking and gasping at this point.
I felt bad for the perfume lady, she was just doing her job, but, as my friend pointed out, her spraying before asking could have resulted in us spending our afternoon in the hospital.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, everyone should be required to work retail/custom service for 1 year *minimum*. Honestly, I think it would do a lot to promote world peace.
That is a great idea. I like to ask staff if they've had a busy day and always say please and thank you. Lil things like that turn a crappy shift into a better day

Right? I try my utmost to be nice to people, especially retail workers. How hard is it to smile and ask politely? And to understand if they don't know something off the top of their head? Granted, I've had a few "Close Karen" moments, but they were directed at myself- forgetting a paint color, filter name, etc. That's MY problem and more often then not, it's actually a kind staff member that helps me out and makes my day 100 times better.

I should know I am a vendor for several Walmart stores they sooner kick us out for something like that, then listen to our side of the story. Usually everything is located at one area, like chips are on that shelf, shampoo on that one, cheese is in the dairy isle, etc etc.

No, pretzels are just one of those odd items where the different types are so vastly different they end up falling under completely different categories.
I honestly can't think of any other items where this happens. (At least not off the top of my head.)
For example, crunchy pretzels are considered a type of snack chip. Chocolate-covered pretzels are considered a type of candy. Frozen soft pretzels go in the FROZEN section. And those freshly-baked soft pretzels go in the bakery section.
Bottom line: the different types of pretzels are not as easily grouped together in the same section as most other items.

My heart breaks for that poor art student. I've seen a LOT of parents like that, and a few that have had full-on temper tantrums over not getting their way. Normally, their child is either trying to tear them away or looking like they wished the floor would swallow them. It usually turns out it brings the students closer together due to an extremely embarrassing situation. There are, occasionally, students that are copies of their loudmouthed parents and they quickly find out the key to a lower grade is verbally abusing trying to teach them.

I've had one "I don't work here lady" moment, but it wasn't fun enough to share on reddit.. :P I was at a local hobby shop, buying needles and wool for felting, and this nice old lady started asking me questions about felting materials, because her granddaughter wanted to get into the hobby.. ^^ I was litterally buying stuff for getting into the hobby myself, so I just showed her to the same needle set that I was getting (3 sizes and a felting mat), and then showed her the packs with little bunches of different colours of wool, since it didn't seem she really knew what colours to get.. :P She thanked me, and we went our seperate ways.. ^^ Told you it wasn't a funny story! XD Just a bit wholesome.. ^^

This episode reminds me of when someone confused me for being a Walmart employee. It ended normally, no Karen involved. When she realises her mistake she obiously did not make her escape quick enough. The vendor story reminded me of an experience my daughter told me. Not a IDWHL or entitled shopper, but very amusing!
She and her husband were restocking makeup displays. They are paid by the job, not by the hour, and try to do as many as they can and streamline their locations. My daughter was breastfeeding at the time and to get the most out of a short break she had two breast pumps and used them simultaneously. A customer walks by her sitting in her car and just stares at her. She looks up with a grin and says Mooooo! I lmao then and now. Thanks for the memory!!!

Oh man I have so many stories of people feeling like they are entitled to so many different things. The story that stands out to me is from when I worked at a walk in clinic. We live on an island with clusters of islands all around and alot of our patients have to travel by ferry from these other islands to ours to be seen since they do not have any healthcare services there. I can't tell you how many people felt as though they should be seen before anyone else because they have to catch a ferry but there was one time that was absolutely ridiculous. This person called us sometime mid morning asking what our hours are and if we are able to handle her health concern to which I replied with our hours and that we would be able to help her. She asked how long our wait time was which at that time we only had about 3 patients waiting so told her around 30 minutes but explained that there may be others who arrive before they get here and may be a bit longer. She explained that she had a ferry to catch around 730pm and wanted to make sure that was enough time to be taken care of which mid morning would have been more than enough time. She shows up several hours later, about an hour before we close (we are open from 8am to 8pm and I work the entire 12 hour shift.) And is upset to see multiple people in the waiting room and began to yell at the check in clerck that she should be taken back before anyone else since she called ahead of time and has a ferry to catch. So I went up to talk with then since I was the one they spoke with and explained to them that they had called around 10 in the morning and at that point we did not have a long waiting time, but that I also told them there may be people who show up before they get here and that their issue was not urgent and did not need to be seen sooner than anyone else who has been waiting but we will still take care of them tonight. Of course this made them more upset and then was having all sorts of nasty insults made towards me and was having them yell how they need to be seen urgently and we are just ignoring them. Mind you, this was an issue that had been going on for 6 months and had been completely unchanged but today it was suddenly an emergency. They wanted to be seen ahead of the person the other nurse was bringing back having an asthma attack, demanded that we pay for their ferry that leaves in 20 min because we couldn't see them right when they walked in the door, and also that they would not be paying us as we "misled them." I told them that we did not mislead them as they had called about 9 hours prior to showing up when I gave them that information and told them they would have time to catch the ferry then, not 20 min before they have to be on it. Plus we would not be able to have them taken care of in that short period of time and advised that they could come back the next day. Again was being yelled at and was told that they couldn't come in earlier because they had to go Christmas shopping and needed to get dinner first, and that they cannot come in the next day. I told them that I'm sorry, but the information I gave you was relevant to that time and they did not say anything about them coming in later in the evening when they called but we would still see them, but would have to wait. To which they responded "this is completely ridiculous. Do you know who we are? Your not gonna have a job tomorrow! I'm going to tell your boss that you refused to see us, lied to us, and called us names because you won't take us right now!You are such an uncaring c*nt and as a matter of fact, we will be waiting for you in the parking lot before you leave tonight. If I were you, I'd be pretty scared." I called the police since they told me they would be waiting for me in the parking lot to which of course they denied but luckily many people who were waiting gave statements of what they had said to me. I have no idea what sort of legal issue came with that, but the best part was that they were so busy screaming at me that they didnt realize their boss was in the waiting room and saw the whole thing and when everything was settled down and they left, their boss apologized to me profusely for how their employer behaved and tried to throw their title around to make them more important and was impressed with how calm and professional I had stayed throughout the whole thing. He told me that this person would be fired the next day as he does not want an employee like that around. He came in the next day with lunch and treats for our entire office and apologized again for his behavior which was not at all a reflection on him but told us that he was glad to find out that persons true colors and to no longer have them working for him.
