These were people I worked 12hr shifts with daily in a high-stress environment!) and was a ‘9 - DUI s’ type of drunk. All in the 5 yrs we were together,l and yes, I bailed him out every time. I totally enabled him when I thought I was protecting and trying to love and help him.
