This was one of the best days! We sat right at the front was amazing!! Dad yelled at brass to stay when they came out front and they did and finidhed right in front of us amazing!!
one of my favorite chunks from one of my favorite music programs/hornlines ever. was so grateful they did that. they always find sneaky ways to pay tribute to my favorite underrated shows of theirs.
Camera guy.. thanks for making this video these guys are amazing. Im on my schools drumline and i love em as much as u but @ 2:01-2:14 show the pit somerespect and let us see what they got goin on!
i guess so, i noticed them over there too. they should do two-corps encores with the hornlines interspersed, and then do runthroughs where they alternate chunks of the show....then everyone really gets to hear how people from other corps sound, haha
And before anyone thinks I am bashing the Devils, I am not. I hate the Bb instruments and George Hopkins for how his "innovations" have killed DCI. The Devils sound good here.
@clayton1012 Anytime you can compare the Blue Devils to a high school show, it demonstrates the fall-off in Marching Band International. Without the G bugles, the Devils sound like a pretty good college marching band. Maybe North Alabama or Jacksonville State could march in DCI next year. It would sound the same, and George Hopkins would probably like the woodwinds.
First 2 minutes of this show was the best part of it! just great music!!
Yeah the rest of the show was really quite bland other than the opener.
this brings a tear to my eye, sooo smooth
i love it!!! that's good material rite there

i just love how dci bands have no woodwinds
9 years and no one has corrected you for saying "dci bands"
@@Bren9431 10 years and i'm just grateful there are still no woodwinds. even if he called us 'dci bands' :mega-cringe:
@@jared0111 You're right, even if he used the improper term he did have a very respectable point of view

It was hard not to like this show despite how moving Crown was that year. Genuine BD. Great show :)
Fantastic opener!
The mallet part in the beginning is fuckin unbelivably awesome :)
Yes it is. . . they did a trade off back and forth.
