When I lived in South Korea you could go to Itaewon and find Jerseys for $20, whatever sport you wanted. Chinese companies with real licensing agreements with the major leagues would over produce on purpose (charging the big leagues a little more) to sell on the black market.
For a while Ithought buying 10 plus addidas jeresys was a problem and a waste of money. But now with fanatics coming in the near future. My jeresys might be worth 2x or 3x the value soon.
Wow. As someone who’s new to acquiring hockey jerseys, I would have been none the wiser. It’s good that you reported it but unless it was someone in management, the jersey was probably left on the rack. Good video though…. Now I know that just because it’s in a store doesn’t totally mean it’s authentic.
For anyone who got a VGK winter classic jersey did anyone get the patch on the shoulder or no? Ordered it from team store didn’t have the patch then went to the winter classic and same boat
I use to work at dicks sporting goods. The employees don’t care. They just see a receipt and that’s it. Not knowing some “scammers will return the fake ones and keep the real ones.
@@shawklan27 the workers just don’t care. I’m not even a supervisor and I explained it to them. They don’t get paid enough to care. That’s their motto. The company will just write it off as theft

Fanatics is gonna make it REAL EASY for scam artists making fake jerseys next season onward. The quality will be near identical.
The fake jerseys will probably be better quality tbh
I could tell the Rangers jersey was fake right away. Not very hard to tell what jersey is fake

The only real legit jerseys are made in Canada. All the other ones are fake anyway

Wasn't hard to spot the fake as soon as you showed the pic its the rangers one
That's so unbelievable, like how is that even allowed to happen?

I reported it to LP and I just don’t understand why this is allowed.
@gerrylee1687 that's some truly scummy behaviour from them like they can't make their employees look at pics of it online or something?

Or someone just took the fake one in and did a switcheroo and got store credit.
Thats most likely what happened. I'm gonna head over to dicks today to see if the fake is still on the rack.
I just received a Kraken WC jersey from Dicks. It’s fake. The NHL shield is stitched horribly, it’s not felt name and numbers.
No way!!!
