😂😂 Magnus once said that one of the best things of being a world champion is that sometimes when you make a mistake, people don't trust it and think it's bait and don't punish me for my mistake... Lol.
The king maneuver of Alireza was impressive! From center walked to the corner, took care of queen exchange, then walked all the way to the other side of the board and chased pawns of white, took control over its own pawn structure, just incredible!

Nothing can be compared with Agadmator. This channel is truly the best chess channel on youtube. Nothing beats this man’s love for the game and appreciation for the beauty of every single move as well as chess’ history. Antonio does multiple analysis and all of them, every single one of them, is fully passionate. I am not even a chess player, but he has awakened in me appreciation for this beautiful game for me and my friends at the library. We love you Antonio!
Plot twist: if Alireza were to normally castle queen side rather than doing this king walk, it would also take him at least 3 moves until having his king on b8, so he hasn't wasted any tempi! :)
"This is how we castle in modern chess . There is no need to castle , we simply waste three moves and bring our king to safety " - agadmator . Gregory oparin , the originator of the modern castling must be happy to being emulated by none other than Firouzja . 😁
My favorite thing about this castling maneuver is that it arguably didn't waste any time. If you want your king and rook on b8 and c8 specifically, then to do that with castling would require moving the queen out of the way, then castling, then moving the king over a square, and finally moving the rook over a square. Compared to what Alireza did, the only difference is that he left the queen on d8, which could be seen as a loss of time if he wanted the queen off of d8, but if he liked it there then moving the queen to allow castling would have been the real waste of time.
So Viktor did castle, but before too many more moves, Alireza drove his king back to e1 with a couple checks. Looks like there's no easy rules for getting king safety.
Wow... I'm really happy to see this line played. I actually played in an over the board tournament yesterday and went into this exact same line, which I thought was crazy... unfortunately I lost my game because I'm not Alireza, but I'm so happy to see it played.
"The Erdős number (Hungarian: [ˈɛrdøːʃ]) describes the "collaborative distance" between mathematician Paul Erdős and another person, as measured by authorship of mathematical papers. "
11:43 - Black rook to a7 would have prevented the white rook from taking the pawn. Passive for the rook, yes, but black then spent a lot of moves taking the white h pawn. All that while, the black a pawn would have been protected.
It might take 2, 4 or 6 years, but I think Alireza is going to be the next world champion after Magnus. He's playing on a different level now and is still improving.
What do you do under the table after saying " I a sorry about that" , specially when it happens in every video ? Can't it be fixed permanently or you like doing that??
I will add king walking to queen side into my games. Queen side castle almost always takes 2 move (or even 3), as you usually want the king to protect corner pawn and get away from any diagnal check tactic.
Antonio, I would love for you to do a preview/prediction type of discussion on the upcoming world championship. Analyses and breakdowns like that with your insights would be enjoyed by our community, especially those who are new to chess. We'd very much like to know on who you'd think would win between Magnus and Nepo, and what things you think would they need in order to do so. Thanks! More power!
I have so many questions: * Why white didn't play f3 to stop Ne4? That's a good pawn move specially because black had dark bishop. * Black could capture d4 using his dark bishop but instead moved his king, why?!!
I like chess in 2021 much more than 2020. 2020 was a bunch of quick theoretical draws in the Berlin Opening. 2021 is about who can do a better bong cloud.
Nah not new, Bobby Fisher did the longer king walk from 1 side to another side without any pun cover. Not even a king walk it was a king march. He went from center to right then from right all the way to the left.
You know when someone does that, they have no respect for you. Rather play 4-5 moves to manually castle because they can give you all that tempi than a single move.
#suggestion add the age of the guys in top 10, so we can see who has the highest upside potential of them (to become the next world champion some day). Thanks!
I've never understood why Agad says sorry about that and fixes something down on every video. I legit doesn't hear any difference in sound after that fix. Can someone explain why he does that ?
I also played a game today i didn't castle and played Kf8 then attacked on the king side , I was winning he was forced to give up his queen but I lost on time 😅
Spending 3 tempi to bring the King to safety only to push all the pawns in front of it - only super GMs and beginners would ever do this
lol 👍
🤣🤣
I agree. Either absolute genius or complete disaster, nothing in between.
oh yes, the thin line between total failure and brilliancy
😂😂 Magnus once said that one of the best things of being a world champion is that sometimes when you make a mistake, people don't trust it and think it's bait and don't punish me for my mistake...

The first thing I've tought opening this video was "Jobava is changed a lot"
The king maneuver of Alireza was impressive! From center walked to the corner, took care of queen exchange, then walked all the way to the other side of the board and chased pawns of white, took control over its own pawn structure, just incredible!
If Alireza is turning dead draws into wins, he's becoming more Magnus-like every day.
yup and I truly think he will play for the world title in the next couple of years.
@@mihuuuu He will never win the Candidates in order to challenge for the championship.

Hey Agadmator, I've spent hours watching your videos. I love chess, and you seem like a cool guy.
Thanks man!
alireza is turning into the next magnus by grinding these endgames out
"It's so ugly you don't even want to imagine it" once again you kill me with your words. It was in this position where I laughed my ass off.
"If you just imagine this Knight on e4.." Arid humour.

Just saw that short where Alireza walks like a chad. Seeing this come up made me laugh 😂

Really...That bishop move was amazing.Looking forward to see alireza playing the candidates. He can provide some nice games if he can hold his nerve
Antonio: take a moment to find a move
Me: I know! I’d play C2
Antonio: if you play C2 here, your position is completely hopeless
Me: oh…
A great lesson for us CK players, similar to Anatoly Karpov's game against Gata Kamsky
Plot twist: if Alireza were to normally castle queen side rather than doing this king walk, it would also take him at least 3 moves until having his king on b8, so he hasn't wasted any tempi! :)
LOL😂😂
4 moves instead of 3 actually
here he need 4 moves, you didn’t count the rook move when not castle, and he need to move his queen too to castle
How is that a plot twist?
This boy surprises everyone. Alireza is the future hero
Soon there's gonna be a preparation line where black checkmates with only the king

If alireza continues this form... candidates 2022 will be great fun.
Alireza has for sure changed the face of Chess World in a better and Attractive one, he is so strong and the next World Champion
He’s a bit of a weirdo tbh
Alireza is grinding his way to the 2800 club!!

For an overview (mostly in French) of the atmosphere inside the French team with Alireza and MVL, day 3 : ruclips.net/video/yJJCTlhf27Q/видео.html
Would be nice if there were English subtitles for those of us who dont speak French
"If you just imagine this knight on the e4 it is so ugly you don´t even want to imagine it" what a dead pan delivery, I love this content.
#suggestion firouzja vs yilmaz... same tournament... beautiful tactic
Just saw this on the lichess insta, your analysis really helps break down what they are thinking! Thanks agadmator 🔥😎👍
genius way to castle the king from alireza, I am gonna try it in my future games!
Great video! Have you considered to show the player ratings next to their names below their pictures ? Might be an informative addition.

Firouzja is so good its scary.
King from e8 to b8 and then ending up to f3. Thats a real walk for a king.
He did it again, today again castled queenside then pushed queenside pawns!
It might take 2, 4 or 6 years, but I think Alireza is going to be the next world champion after Magnus. He's playing on a different level now and is still improving.
Suggestion- i Suggest an analysis of Ivan Nikolic vs. Goran Arsovic. The longest game ever played consisting of 269 moves
Just call it Firouzja saga by this point Antonio.
This is the prelude story
What do you do under the table after saying " I a sorry about that" , specially when it happens in every video ? Can't it be fixed permanently or you like doing that??
we may never know. Perhaps some things are best left as mysteries.
Amazing game Alireza 🔥❤
Time to improve my Monday!
1:12 Ah yes, C6: sorry about that variation
It was as of this position that Agadmator got a like for his awesome videos
"and it is how we castle in modern chess" I cracked a honest laugh here

The "sorry about that" came super early
8 king moves from both sides in the opening and middlegame. Modern chess is strange indeed.
I have so many questions:
* Why white didn't play f3 to stop Ne4? That's a good pawn move specially because black had dark bishop.
* Black could capture d4 using his dark bishop but instead moved his king, why?!!

Where can I watch this tournament?
Excellent expose of the king walk by agadmator.

so he stayed just himself - a true chess barbarian!

One question pls reply. why you always sorry after the game starts? I have seen. "White opens with e4 e5...sorry about that..."
Castling in 2021: Just waste three moves, and march the king across the board.
That "How we play modern chess" line 😂😂
I haven't watched this game yet, but jizz you got me with that thumbnail
Alireza doing the Fibonacci spiral with his bishop
Was that King move intuitive or its Engine prep?
7:53 ...Rc6 so, no repetition and white forced to go back with the queen
What about Rb1 instead of h4? There are more practical chances for white if the black king is more restrained.
Look at those live ratings. The gap between 1 and 2 is the same as the gap between 2 and 18.
HELLO- MY- Ears! I'm deaf now. Thank you for that.
Is Erdos a very common last name in Hungary? Just curious if Viktor is of any relation to the great Hungarian mathematician.
Alireza is the future of chess
Nah not new, Bobby Fisher did the longer king walk from 1 side to another side without any pun cover. Not even a king walk it was a king march. He went from center to right then from right all the way to the left.
One question please, what are you doing when you say "Sorry about that" every video? :)
I think you should edit the header of your channel and include Alireza there.
#suggestion
11:20 is the D pawn not just hanging in some of these variations? What am I missing
I think White's h-pawn might become too dangerous, either immediate h6 or maybe Rg1 first to stop the bishop coming back to g7
You know when someone does that, they have no respect for you. Rather play 4-5 moves to manually castle because they can give you all that tempi than a single move.
