I met Dennis Rodman driving down my street in Southfield, Michigan, and a black huge Mercedes. He stopped at the bank. I followed him. He got out of the car and sign my boys shirt that them, and then went into the bank and gave And autograph their shirt that them. Then proceeded inside the bank to give the girls all T-shirts he had just bought from California. He told me all that. I never met anyone so genuine, genuine, genuine like Dennis Rodman.
The most disturbed minds usually have the biggest hearts. Wish his sobriety well. This guy is geniune and real... people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. That would be a description of this man's character and his life
I was such a big fan of Rodman when I was a kid... the more I get to know and understand him, the more I'm that much more of a fan...how can you not love this guy.
I am about 20 minutes into this, and it has been quite touching. There was an article in Reader's Digest, years ago, about Dennis Rodman and his helping and being there for a young invalid boy, who was hospitalized for some time. I can't remember a lot of the details, but it was a great, and moving article. I have searched Reader's Digest archives for it, but haven't found it, yet. Though some, myself included, get a little aggravated at his antics, on the court, against opposing, players, especially some of the bigger men, he is very good at what he has chosen to be his role, on the court. One of the best at defense and rebounding, goes without saying. If anybody who reads this, knows the title of that article, I would greatly appreciate if they would reply to this post with that title.
There's is an movie that was released in 1998 called "bad as I wanna be" based on his life up to when he became a Chicago bull. It definitely covers the rough beginnings of his life and subsequent events that followed.
I know exactly what it means to be kicked out of your house as a teenager and become a street kid pure hell took me many years to forgive my parents for that I'm not even sure if I really ever did I'm glad someone like dennis was good enough at something to get off the streets and becomes one of the all time greatest I relate with dennis a lot being a street kid it was not easy to get off those streets and become a normal person was a huge struggle for me hearing his story is fascinating to go from street kid to super star is really incredible considering even having a place to sleep as a homeless teenager is enough of a struggle
He’s so right About being the main attraction when he was at the lakers, I’m in Texas and went too see him when he played for the lakers in Dallas . I wish I could find the footage too that game cause if Shaq and Colby were playing I don’t remember even being aware of who they were back then!!!!
Why did one of them laugh after Dennis said he has difficulty expressing or feeling love towards his own children? I thought that was quite odd, like he was about to start crying again
Very few are willing to look pain and hurt directly in the eyes, let it wash over them then move forward in a more caring and compassionate way. Laughter, tough talk or changing the subject when one is faced with truth and honesty is self destructive and serves only to alienate us from one another and the purpose of this existence. Love.

This is a hidden gem. Love Rodman ever since I was a kid to an adult. Even my son has appreciation.

I just love Dennis. He is so sincere. “Is Dennis Rodman here? … No he is not.” So good
I was shocked and very impressed with his candidness. Especially to just a Wilmington, DE audience in a library.
