Great video. I bought a crystal monitor but i'm thinking about returning and getting a Icare. A few questions: How long does it last before you have to replace the cell/Crystal? How often does it need to be calibrated? When in the tub can it sit outside if the water without being damaged?
Awesome, you should calibrate every 6-8 months. Yes it can be outside of the water. Hopefully you never have to replace the cell, but the warranty on it is 3 years.
Hi my tub is just about a year old and use the icare as part of the deal they gave me a service at one year and there coming 2nd November my ? Is should I let them test and add chemicals if my icare says all is good
@@TheHotTubLady how is that? if its in the basket it blocks the majority of the water flow (at least on caldera martinique) which from what i understand can damage the pump
Thank you. We just ordered a new hot tub but dont expect delivery before January. I’ll check back in at that time to purchase. Thank you for all the great content.
What's a rough estimate on replacement sensors? I just happened to stumble on your channel, nice job on the informative videos. You have one more subscriber!
@@TheHotTubLady thank you. I greatly appreciate a reply. I'm liking the fact that he's able to do this with no monthly subscription. It's a huge selling point for some people these days... well for me it is lol.

I bought the iCare from yo and have it swimming in my swim spa. The temp is good 93 the PH is good at 7.5, the TDS is steady at 1200 but the ORP is at 435 way below the setpoint of 650 but it doesn't say to do anything. Why is it not telling me to add anything?
I would drop your orp to 450-700. 450 is a safe orp that is why it’s not asking you to add anything. The Icare does learn as it goes. You may find after a couple of days it will have you shock.
It works fantastic you just set your orp lower as you need a much lower sanitizer level. I have dozens of spa frog customers using the Icare and they are very happy
Thank you! You are the only person I’ve seen anywhere discussing this with any tea knowledge! Thank you! When you say low, how low should the ORP be with an inline Frog system? I feel like I’ve been in a ever ending battle to try to keep it within the “recommended range”
@@TheHotTubLady So what should orp be set at for frog at ease system I just purchased an i care water monitor. My hot tub is fresh water not salt water. Everything is considered generic if not from ideal water care company. So which kind of chlorine is it ?
We purchased an iCare and are visually seeing PH for the first time on a saltwater system. My question is how quickly should PH rise in a saltwater tub? Dosing with PH remover and seeing it spike back to where it was before in a matter of hours is becoming frustrating.
I am bit sure what you mean by pH remover. You should always have pH at 7.6. Do you mean phosphates? And you are having suds? I’m sorry I am confused by this question

We spoke on the phone today Jim. Thanks for help with my ICare system. I’m looking forward to getting mine up and running
Jim is great!!
Just ordered one from your store and we can’t wait to get it!
Yay that’s super exciting! You will love it. Make sure you download the Icare app for it.

Good morning, where can I get one of the Icare units in Cleveland Ohio? Thanks
Can I use this in my sundance optima tub? It's not salt water
Absolutely
Love my iCare. Been in service for a year. I now need to recharge battery every week. Do you have any suggestions regarding battery recharging
Make sure you let it charge for at least 24 hours. After it dries for 12-18. If it continues to go down. I would maybe file a claim with ondillo.

Yes trust your dealer. Icare will adjust
Is the burgundy same as blue?
No. The burgundy one is swimming pool only. If you are using my link we only have blue ones available just need to update the picture
@@TheHotTubLady does this work well in swim spa with ozone system?

@@TheHotTubLady awesome thanks
I think ALL Hot tubs should come with the Icare system as standard equipment via in the display.
It would be great if it did wouldn’t it.
How do you secure it so that it doesn’t get into the filter basket?
Mine is in the filter basket all the time doesn’t hurt a thing

Are you selling the most recent blue model of the Icare monitor? The only one I saw on the site was the burgundy one.
Yes we only have blue ones our web developer is a bit behind

Aww thank you. Sensors are about $100 a piece. They very rarely need replacement

Is 7.0 ok for ph or should it be set higher for my free flow hot tub? It's only 120 gallons and using chlorine
It needs to be higher. 7.6 is where you want to be.
Wow super expensive
