Hi! I'm amazed by the level of your skill and dedication in bringing a full sized tripping open canoe to white water. I hope it won't sound flattering but I do find some similarities between your paddling and the paddling skills shown in Bill Mason's films. Your boat is the OT Camper 16 in Royalex, right? If I'm not mistaken, it's based on the old OT Chipewyan line. If so, mine is the little brother of yours, the OT Pack. Have you made any substantial changes to the hull? Such as pulling it in by shortening the thwarts, etc.? Why have you chosen this boat and not any other? Such as the OT Appalachian or Nova Craft Supernova, etc., that are more of running water designs? Also, you have some really beautiful whitewater terrains in Japan, it seems. Are the conditions often like that? Or do you have to wait for water? And as someone who's not really very versed in modern technology, that's a drone flying nearby that's filming you? Thank you for your videos and I'm sending my best wishes from Prague, Czechia. Robert
@Yves Landry Nice to meet you to, thank you for your comment. Quebec is such a beautiful place. I visited Algonquin Provincial Park 10 years ago for an interior canoe camp. Canada is a dream destination and I would like to visit it again. are you learning japanese
Thank you for your comment! The Tripper is a good canoe, but I think it's too big for solo paddling. For solo paddling, a 16ft canoe like the Camper or Charles River is an easy-to-handle size.
The recovery @7:20 ....... amazing!
Thanks!
Always enjoyed!!
Thank you as always!
Amazing curl rescue in dynamic conditions. I'm in awe!
Thank you for praising me!
Another great vid! Well done.
Thank you so much!

Fantastic paddling! A bit of an odd question, but how do you shape the brim of your hat?
Thanks for your comment! Pass the aluminum wire through the brim of the hat.
@@canoeing That's very clever, thanks for the tip!

I like yoou movies, but ... why is horizon not horizontal on new ones? Watching it makes me seasick ...
really sorry. Shooting with Insta360 results in a curved image.
@@canoeing apology accepted. Happy paddling!
@@aljosarovan7848 Thank you very much!
What do you use as a seat in the center of the Camper?
Thank you for your question. The seat is introduced in the video at the URL below. ruclips.net/video/qchhX2HTkTk/видео.htmlsi=iDSr5huqqYcfdYB1
