  • In Ground Swimming Pool Removal/Demolition - This is part 1 of this pool removal and fill in. I used my Kubota KX080 to break up the concrete and remove the pool liner. Make sure you watch part 2 to see the compaction and fill in process.

    You’re the man for doing it right and tearing out the bottom. Most people would have just pushed it all in.

      Thank you, I would lose sleep if I did something like that! Thanks for watching

      I don't know anything about filling in a hole, could you explain why you wouldn't just pile everything back in there?

      @@deeevans324 probably a permit issue. There is a difference between partial and complete demolitions

      @@deeevans324 Drainage, probably. Leaving the bottom means the water percolating down has to go somewhere else.

    I am happy to see you take out the bottom. So many people cut corners and leave it.

    Why not just break it up and mix the concrete in with the backfill?

    • @srmcontracting
      @srmcontracting  Год назад +1

      That's pretty much what I did. I was just pulling pieces out in the beginning to make sure I broke everything up.

      The pool by it's self was about 2 days. We did some grading and brush clearing as well which made it a 4 day job.

    That has to be the flimsiest pool I have ever seen. Usually they are full of rebar and concrete. You could have broken that up with a skid steer crusher bucket LOL!

      Yes, Ive seen photos of concrete pools loaded with rebar. I got lucky with this one for sure! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    By California code, pool walls should be at least ONE FOOT thick. What state are you in?

    • @Easyrecliner

      The pool is a concrete floor with fiberglass walls, same as my pool. I'm not sure if they make them that way anymore, my pool is 30 years old in Wisconsin.

    Please tell me that was your boss and not the customer.😂 I know we've all had that customer that tries to manage you, or worset of all they get *WAY* to close to the equipment. That's always where I draw the line! Lol

    We have a property that we are potentially looking to purchase and build our forever home. One issue is the abandoned pool with all types of damage to the concrete. Any idea of what it would cost to remove all of the concrete? Plan to pour new concrete for a new pool. Roughly the same size as featured in this video. Thanks in advance

      Your region and the job site play a major role in pricing. Ball park would be $10k
