I think we as a country can hold our heads high. Our rock and pop acts could give the Brits and the yanks a run for their money. The foreign acts seem to get a lot of attention but we had a great scene right here for a few decades.
Amazing electro-funk stuff from KITK at a time when that was unknown. Saw them in Perth at the now defunct Charles Hotel in the early 80s..electrifying. This band were too good, too soon. The future could have been so much different if they'd been a year or two later on the scene. Hats off to the Kids in The Kitchen..
Absolutely brilliant stuff. I've never heard of KITK till 2 years ago, researching the old Aussie charts as I was born about 10 years after their peak. My Gosh their music sounds extraordinary, amazing synths and terrific vocals. Love their music, sadly much underappeciated in the modern era, seems forgotten by most
