    Yep, very astute. This victory is a loss really. Just goes to infringing on our rights, more and more.

    I totally agree Plowboy. If they're that dangerous then they should stay in prison til they're no longer a danger to society. If they have paid their debt to society, then it's paid. The day you're declared a free man, or woman, is the day your rights are restored. Thanks for the video!

    Whether or not the law is constitutional isn't a call for a jury in district court to make. We'll have to see what SCOTUS does with the Range case.

      @@plowboysghost That ain't how the legal system works, and we sure wouldn't want a jury of liberals ruling on the 2nd Amendment.

    Agree with you on the high crimes bit too. The YT closed captions spelled "treason" as "treeson", which I imagine involves acorns. If it was auto-generated, I find that interesting. I think a lot of people are just sick of him getting away with everything but it's hardly a morality-based conviction of a crime in the grand scheme of things, and the scales of justice still seem to be welded at the hinge.

    I agree with everything you said in this video. Every time I buy a gun here in Florida I have to fill out that same paperwork. From what I recently heard, it's probably easier to have guns in Delaware then it is in Florida.
    One thing is for sure. We must get that sleepy guy out of the White House.

  • @rickgrimes931
    @rickgrimes931 2 месяца назад +2

    I consider those laws illegal as well, but since they want to infringe our rights, we need to apply that same infringement to them. Plus, if this goes to the SCOTUS and they throw all of it out, that removes the infringement on our rights.

    It’s all a joke trial to give the smoke and mirror show that justice is fair. The 5th circuit ruled last August that the drug question is unconstitutional so you can’t be guilty of lying on an unconstitutional question but many are cheering it so the smoke and mirrors show worked.

    What get's me is the 4473 form makes a point to single out Marijuana and that it is still a federal offense regardless of local laws or medical prescription. Therefore illegal to own a firearm. Now, I am not a weed smoker, never have been even though I was around in the 60's 70's and 80's. If that question was answered honestly at least 50% of firearm buyers would fail to pass.

And he can't ride with me most of the time or my rights are hampered for him to not go back to prison. Honestly it's bullshit!!!

    But......unconstitutional or not they are laws right now that he did break.
    I agree with you that they shouldn't be laws....frankly we shouldn't even be required to have carry permits based on the 2nd amendment.
    But because of that this could in fact be a victory for the gun community, because if this gets appealed to the Supreme Court....we could possibly get more gun rights back based off there evaluation of the constitution.
    So I dont belive it is a hollow victory, it is a stepping stone twords getting some of those unconstitutional gun laws removed in the first place. 🤔
    And if not....then I still find its good that they fell victim to there own stupid laws in the first place 😂

    You are the voice of reason...and to add, we have waaaay toooo many victimless crimes which often rise to the level of felony too. I share your sentiment in that every law, or virtually every gun law is an infringement of the 2A. Washington Gun Law channel just put out a video on a court case in Indiana where by a person was found guilty of multiple felonies for falsifying the address on forms. The court stated the law hand nothing to do with buying a gun...all falsifying federal forms is a felony....except my take, the only reason you're filling out the form in the first place is because you're buying a gun. Strange days indeed.

    Even if he was found innocent, you and me wouldn’t have been. The outcome of this case was never going to have any bearing on how normal people would be treated when the government wants to find them guilty for something. I’m past the point of letting “principles” allow me to get sucker punched while I refuse to do the same to the people doing it to me. But yes it’s a joke that this was all he was charged with.
