I would suggest you get to know the band a bit better as both have stories to tell within and outside of the music. Or just dive right in and have your flabber ghasted as it's never been ghasted before.

Floor Jansen is one of the most versatile heavy metal singers and one of the most versatile bands being they are progressive metal band complimented by elements and colors of a symphony.
I would never say "this is the wrong singer", I love Queen Floor and she's my favourite but Tarja and Annette were important part of the band, Tuomas knew always how to get the best of every singer and that has to be the key to keep the band up for so long, for me they are the GOATs and happy to listen to their music every time I can, there is a long journey ahead, keep rocking and stay safe....

When I was young (1998) I hated Tarjas voice, sounded so dark and hollow to me. But now I am older, I do see that a lot of old songs are a better fit for her, then for Floor. Both versions sound like different songs, and what also is fine. Doubles the discography 😅(not mentioning Anette as I don't have any favorites with her voice 🙈) Floor is just an stage beast and she is so freaking captivated. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. The last song -Lanternlight- is my personal song of the year 2024 by far. It is very, VERY different but exactly that is the reason. For me Nightwish has evolved to one of those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things. Originally Floor was sent by Allfather Odhinn to Midgard to gather the souls of fallen warriors to Valhalla, but she got distracted and joined a series of bands. However, Floor still gathers souls by her grace, beauty and the sheer power of her vocals. Tuomas (on keyboard), the composer and lyricist of most of NW music, is a great fan of soundtracks and especially of Hans Zimmer (also of Disney). You can hear this in many of their songs. By the way, Floor Jansen has studied four years at Rock Academy Tilburg plus one year classical music and one year music theatre. So she is classically trained but only for one year. But even before starting any music studies she had been able to reach high notes easily. She is highly talented and brought this to perfection with her studies.

Floor was classically trained but (in her own words) "not to a great extent". She did the Rock academy in Tilburg, the Netherlands. But she indicated that that was not the main part of her training. She learned a lot from a teacher from the Conservatorium Tilburg who taught musical theatre (mr. Hoepelman). I never heard if it was a multi year class of multi year private lessons. So I don't know. Whatever, she said in an interview that she learned most from this man, not only singing, but also stage presence. Remember, all the while she already had an (inter-)national career in the band After Forever.

She did one year of opera and two years of musical theater with the teacher from the Conservatorium. I believe they were one on one lesson/studies not a formal course.
Floor is Awesome and the band is great. Her stage presence is amazing. There's a trio band from Mexico that does 3 versions of Enter Sandman. The original and their official video then their live version fron 22 and 24. They are called The Warning and they are sisters.

My personal favourite of the Nighwish videos are Song of Myself from Wacken 2013, and the Greatest Show On Earth from Wembley Arena (I think that the sound and screenshow quality is better there, but many also prefer the Tampere version). But after seeing this one, I think that what ever song you'll choose it's going to be one more great Nightwish reaction for me to watch 😁. There is no wrong singer to react to when you love Nightwish. People have preference for each of them, I can celebrate the beauty and uniqueness each brings. I have followed and loved their music since 2000 and on different tracks I love the differences each brings. Please never let anyone tell you how to feel about a singer. When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Here are some of my favourites: ‘Energize me’; Monolith of Doubt’ and Dreamflight’. Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. She also studied 2 years at the Conservatory (1 year Music Theatre and 1 year Opera). 'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song from full operatic to death growls in seconds. Here are some examples: ‘Misery’s no Crime’, ‘Wild card’ and ‘Disdain’. Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’ Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp’ also, but it was clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so 'Revamp' disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died is a must see. Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on RUclips. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa’ and to see her in full opera mode, watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered RUclips in these years. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. This was Floor`s first big concert with the band, if you think she nail this performance check out the concert at Tampere 2015 and all the others as they preform this song at each venue. This is my number one song of theirs and my list is very long lol. I must admit when Nightwish parted ways with Anette Olzen I was a little upset because I really liked her vocals. But Floor, WOW !! She is the greatest female vocalist alive !! She can sing anything that Tuomas write`s. She does Metal, Opera, Pop and actually sang from a phone book lol. She has been doing alot of her own shows while Nightwish is on a tour hiatus now. As for Metallica they are friends with the band and James asked her to fill in for Five Finger Death Punch and she was pregnant with her second child by the way.

Funny you compared Floor with Freddy Mercury. Floor's first band 'After Forever' did a cover of 'Who wants to live forever' by Queen. 'Paashaas' made a 'mashup' of both recordings, so it seems they are doing a duet together.
Funny you should mention Metallica because, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned this fun fact yet: Tuomas, the keyboardist and composer, was inspired to go into metal when he attended a Metallica and Guns 'n Roses concert as foreign exchange student in America! Fans of Metallica can pick up on the influence in Nightwish's music, and he actually pays tribute to Metallica specifically in a section of their song "The Greatest Show on Earth" during the portion that represents music throughout history. As others have mentioned as well, Hans Zimmer is one of Tuomas' biggest inspirations and favorite musicians. There's really no such thing as "wrong" with Nightwish, but there are preferences, and while both the first and second singer are both very good and have their strengths, as a fan from the early days, I have to say that I vastly prefer Floor. There are singers who can do each of the individual things she does a little better, but you would be hard pressed to find another singer with the sheer range and versatility of capabilities she has at such a high level, including her incredibly commanding stage presence. I personally feel that Floor takes Nightwish to a higher level. It's why I now prefer the live recorded versions of Floor singing their older songs. In fact, she's actually tweaked some of them to add her own flair. The belting final notes on Ghost Love Score were here own addition and truly make the song! Anways, welcome to the Nightwish Army! We're always happy to see new fans discover this incredible band! It's the closest we can get to experiencing them for the first time again.

Fun fact, James Hedfield is a fan, and was on the side of the stage when Floor/Nightwish and Metallica were playing the same European festival in 2023(?) . When Metallica had problems with the opening act for their Amsterdam Stadium show in 2023, they called on Floor, 1 week before the show. Floor did the gig with her solo band while heavilly pregnant. She did some Nightwish, Revamp, After Forever songs, her solo music, and even Phantom of the opera with Henk Porte in a Tux. Not what the crowd expected but Floor saved the day. Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Recent if you call 12 yrs recent lol. Yes both Tarja and Annette had their era's 7yrs and 6yrs respectively and are good at their time. But in my opinion, which is only mine Floor is preferable. I like maybe 2 or 3 songs each with each of the former, but prob anything with Floor .

She has a youtube channel as well with solo stuff from her solo album, and awesome covers from lockdown to keep her voice in shape that you could react to as well. They finished a world tour last year and will not tour the newest album that came out. That had beed decided already as previously they toured too much and it put a lot of strain on the band. Floor toured right up to the 2nd to last show pregnant and collapsed in the end so it's good she had time to recover and have baby before recording the new album. We are listening to the new one & patiently waiting for the next one; expect they will tour it. 😊

I'm curious to see how we'll compare the same songs, as I'm a 48 year old bloke who has been told in just this past year, by my family doctor, "I think you've got ADHD. Like not newly, just completely missed while you were a kid" (growing up in the 70's/80's...also an autistic, undiagnosed until I was 33!) She has tried to prescribe me the ADHD meds, but I'm still resisting. I don't think it needs chemical treatment, and I've heard far too many horror stories about those meds... May I humbly suggest that you check out the singer/musician/songwriter/everything! Aurora? A first suggestion would be 'It happened quiet', specifically the 'Live at The Current' video. Cheers mate!

So please react to "DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN" singing OGNI PIETRA aka known as OLYMPICO from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. This guy has an 7 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. He's from Kazakhstan, his whole family is involved in music. Never heard a voice like this and I hope you will enjoy it. Tarja and Annette seem to be appreciated for their efforts and importance to the band's success, yet many appreciate the mastery Floor has of her instrument. It should also be noted that Tarja and Annette were asked to depart, whereas Toumas has said that if Floor were to depart, it would be the end of Nightwish. I'll leave it to the reader to sus out the importance of the first two singers in terms of their impact to the band. There are only two members to the band left and my feeling about that is that losing their drummer and bassist had as much impact on the personality of the band as much as Floor had/has on Nightwish. While it feels like a plug and play band, this concert imo was the high point of their journey. This concert - lighting in a bottle.

Besides Nightwsh and Within Temptationn theres Epica whose Dutch like Floor and WT. Epica is heavier then NW and WT. They bring in elements of death metal. If you want to go nuclear i sujject Consign to Oblivion live at the Zenith.. They just realsed a song a few weeks ago for Europes 2nd biggest amusemt park and the attraction Danse Macabre.. Its more on the musical theater side and its fantaatic. Its called the Ghost in Me and theres already a live video along with the OMV... Tomorrow they release the 1st song from there 9th Studio Album and the song is called Arcana... We all are awaiting that.

It is looking unlikely that Nightwish will tour again. They are not touring their current album, and Floor now has two small children which would make touring tough. Also, Tuomas, who writes the music, seems to be taking a new direction into grand orchestral music in the style of Hans Zimmer. The new album is nominally Nightwish, but truth to tell, they don't really feature on it in any meanigful way. But as you will find out, there is a huge collection of performances out there. I would recommend anything from this show at Wacken, also Wembley Arena, Buenos Aires and their home concert in Tampere, Finland.

There is never a wrong version of a song with Nightwish. The NW-army is large. And as with any large crowd, some individuals forget their manners. I can already hear some keyboard clicking "You stopped too much" or "interrupted the queen". Let's call those comments a confirmation of your success. It means you got a lot of views. Actually Nightwish has created not one but TWO songs about online behavior. Shame some fans aparently don't get the memo even when watching a song a thousand times.
As a total fan of Nightwish with Floor, I still have to say that Tarja Turunen was the first singer who performed on the first five albums and is to be appreciated. However I prefer virtually every song when it's sung by Floor. At this concert after only 10 months with the band she takes every song to another level especially those by the second singer, Anette Olzon, 2007-2012) who was a pop singer and struggled to sing any Tarja songs and some of her own live.

Sirens are not mermaids. They live on land and lure sailors to the reefs off the coast with their singing. In the Odyssey Saga, the two live on both sides of the Strait of Medina, which lies between Sicily and the Italian mainland. The passage is still dangerous today because of the currents, wind and reefs. It is possible that the sirens were fake news from sailors about their own failure. Floor says that she is not an opera singer. But she has studied the basics of classical singing and uses that extensively. I would not compare a trash/heavy metal band like Metallica and James Hetfield with a symphonic metal band and Floor Jansen. That doesn't work, even if they have worked with an orchestra. Nightwish has done that regularly on every one of their records since 2005, including with the orchestra that has also worked on Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. If Hetfield had a talent as a tenor, then I would have missed something. Mastermind Tuomas Holopainen's first metal concert was a Metallica concert, but that hasn't rubbed off on his musical work. He takes his cues from Hans Zimmer and bands with female singers. Unfortunately, they are currently taking a break from touring. I wouldn't get my hopes up before 2027, but then they'll be touring worldwide. Tuomas will be busy with his side project Auri in 2025. Floor has just toured the Netherlands and Germany with her solo program and is working on a second solo album. When it will be released is unknown and she probably doesn't know herself yet. 2026 will be the 30th anniversary of the band and the record label wants them to do something about it. Nothing concrete is known.

@@ReactADHD That's right, in the Romance languages the only word known is Sirena. But the English Sirens have the lower body of a bird. The Spanish don't have their own word for the mermaid.

I would suggest you get to know the band a bit better as both have stories to tell within and outside of the music. Or just dive right in and have your flabber ghasted as it's never been ghasted before.

When I was young (1998) I hated Tarjas voice, sounded so dark and hollow to me. But now I am older, I do see that a lot of old songs are a better fit for her, then for Floor. Both versions sound like different songs, and what also is fine. Doubles the discography 😅(not mentioning Anette as I don't have any favorites with her voice 🙈) Floor is just an stage beast and she is so freaking captivated. This album is like an old concept album by Pink Floyd, you might take the time to listen to it from the first song all thru to the last one. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. The last song -Lanternlight- is my personal song of the year 2024 by far. It is very, VERY different but exactly that is the reason.
For me Nightwish has evolved to one of those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things.

She was not a full member here. She had been with Nightwish as a fill-in for about ten months here. She, together with Troy, who´s not in this song, became full members shortly after this show.

@@ReactADHDyou are nearly right. Everyone knew that Floor would be a full time member by this stage, but there were still a couple of legalities that needed to be tied up with Floor's previous band before it could be formally announced.
Actually both her and Troy signed the papers in June, but it was first made public in October.

What a fantastic tribute to Floor! Her talent truly knows no bounds, and it’s amazing how she captivates us all while still fulfilling her Valkyrie duties, even from Midgard!
Tuomas (on keyboard), the composer and lyricist of most of NW music, is a great fan of soundtracks and especially of Hans Zimmer (also of Disney). You can hear this in many of their songs. By the way, Floor Jansen has studied four years at Rock Academy Tilburg plus one year classical music and one year music theatre. So she is classically trained but only for one year. But even before starting any music studies she had been able to reach high notes easily. She is highly talented and brought this to perfection with her studies.

Been a Nightwish follower since the late 90s. Great reaction!!!!!!
Floor was classically trained but (in her own words) "not to a great extent". She did the Rock academy in Tilburg, the Netherlands. But she indicated that that was not the main part of her training. She learned a lot from a teacher from the Conservatorium Tilburg who taught musical theatre (mr. Hoepelman). I never heard if it was a multi year class of multi year private lessons. So I don't know. Whatever, she said in an interview that she learned most from this man, not only singing, but also stage presence. Remember, all the while she already had an (inter-)national career in the band After Forever.

Floor is Awesome and the band is great. Her stage presence is amazing. There's a trio band from Mexico that does 3 versions of Enter Sandman. The original and their official video then their live version fron 22 and 24. They are called The Warning and they are sisters.

My personal favourite of the Nighwish videos are Song of Myself from Wacken 2013, and the Greatest Show On Earth from Wembley Arena (I think that the sound and screenshow quality is better there, but many also prefer the Tampere version).
But after seeing this one, I think that what ever song you'll choose it's going to be one more great Nightwish reaction for me to watch 😁. There is no wrong singer to react to when you love Nightwish. People have preference for each of them, I can celebrate the beauty and uniqueness each brings. I have followed and loved their music since 2000 and on different tracks I love the differences each brings. Please never let anyone tell you how to feel about a singer. When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Here are some of my favourites: ‘Energize me’; Monolith of Doubt’ and Dreamflight’.
Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. She also studied 2 years at the Conservatory (1 year Music Theatre and 1 year Opera).
'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song from full operatic to death growls in seconds. Here are some examples: ‘Misery’s no Crime’, ‘Wild card’ and ‘Disdain’.
Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’
Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp’ also, but it was clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so 'Revamp' disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died is a must see.
Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on RUclips. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa’ and to see her in full opera mode, watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered RUclips in these years. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. Lots of technical info and some memories of her starting with Nightwish.
Also her Fan Friday videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of these and other presents she left on her channel. Also videos of her solotour she did with songs of her impressive career. Her latest endeavour is her stunning solo album ‘My Paragon. Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band Sabaton), daughters Freja (turns 8 years next march) and Lucy (1 year this october),a couple of horses, dogs and cats, she found this.

This was Floor`s first big concert with the band, if you think she nail this performance check out the concert at Tampere 2015 and all the others as they preform this song at each venue. This is my number one song of theirs and my list is very long lol. I must admit when Nightwish parted ways with Anette Olzen I was a little upset because I really liked her vocals. But Floor, WOW !! She is the greatest female vocalist alive !! She can sing anything that Tuomas write`s. She does Metal, Opera, Pop and actually sang from a phone book lol. She has been doing alot of her own shows while Nightwish is on a tour hiatus now. As for Metallica they are friends with the band and James asked her to fill in for Five Finger Death Punch and she was pregnant with her second child by the way.

Funny you compared Floor with Freddy Mercury. Floor's first band 'After Forever' did a cover of 'Who wants to live forever' by Queen. 'Paashaas' made a 'mashup' of both recordings, so it seems they are doing a duet together.

Funny you should mention Metallica because, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned this fun fact yet: Tuomas, the keyboardist and composer, was inspired to go into metal when he attended a Metallica and Guns 'n Roses concert as foreign exchange student in America! Fans of Metallica can pick up on the influence in Nightwish's music, and he actually pays tribute to Metallica specifically in a section of their song "The Greatest Show on Earth" during the portion that represents music throughout history.
As others have mentioned as well, Hans Zimmer is one of Tuomas' biggest inspirations and favorite musicians.
There's really no such thing as "wrong" with Nightwish, but there are preferences, and while both the first and second singer are both very good and have their strengths, as a fan from the early days, I have to say that I vastly prefer Floor. There are singers who can do each of the individual things she does a little better, but you would be hard pressed to find another singer with the sheer range and versatility of capabilities she has at such a high level, including her incredibly commanding stage presence. I personally feel that Floor takes Nightwish to a higher level. It's why I now prefer the live recorded versions of Floor singing their older songs. In fact, she's actually tweaked some of them to add her own flair. The belting final notes on Ghost Love Score were here own addition and truly make the song!

Fun fact, James Hedfield is a fan, and was on the side of the stage when Floor/Nightwish and Metallica were playing the same European festival in 2023(?) .
When Metallica had problems with the opening act for their Amsterdam Stadium show in 2023, they called on Floor, 1 week before the show. Floor did the gig with her solo band while heavilly pregnant. She did some Nightwish, Revamp, After Forever songs, her solo music, and even Phantom of the opera with Henk Porte in a Tux. Not what the crowd expected but Floor saved the day. There are some fan videos on YT from the show if curious.

I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy)
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish.
Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016.
From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020.

Recent if you call 12 yrs recent lol. Yes both Tarja and Annette had their era's 7yrs and 6yrs respectively and are good at their time. But in my opinion, which is only mine Floor is preferable. I like maybe 2 or 3 songs each with each of the former, but prob anything with Floor .

Our Queen Valkyrie Goddess of Metal.
She has a youtube channel as well with solo stuff from her solo album, and awesome covers from lockdown to keep her voice in shape that you could react to as well.
They finished a world tour last year and will not tour the newest album that came out.
That had beed decided already as previously they toured too much and it put a lot of strain on the band.
Floor toured right up to the 2nd to last show pregnant and collapsed in the end so it's good she had time to recover and have baby before recording the new album.
We are listening to the new one & patiently waiting for the next one; expect they will tour it. 😊

Just wanted to drop a hello from a new subscriber in Canada. I've watched a few of your videos, and have now subscribed. I'm curious to see how we'll compare the same songs, as I'm a 48 year old bloke who has been told in just this past year, by my family doctor, "I think you've got ADHD. Like not newly, just completely missed while you were a kid" (growing up in the 70's/80's...also an autistic, undiagnosed until I was 33!) She has tried to prescribe me the ADHD meds, but I'm still resisting. I don't think it needs chemical treatment, and I've heard far too many horror stories about those meds...
May I humbly suggest that you check out the singer/musician/songwriter/everything! Aurora? A first suggestion would be 'It happened quiet', specifically the 'Live at The Current' video. Cheers mate!

Tarja and Annette seem to be appreciated for their efforts and importance to the band's success, yet many appreciate the mastery Floor has of her instrument. It should also be noted that Tarja and Annette were asked to depart, whereas Toumas has said that if Floor were to depart, it would be the end of Nightwish. I'll leave it to the reader to sus out the importance of the first two singers in terms of their impact to the band. There are only two members to the band left and my feeling about that is that losing their drummer and bassist had as much impact on the personality of the band as much as Floor had/has on Nightwish. While it feels like a plug and play band, this concert imo was the high point of their journey. This concert - lighting in a bottle.

Besides Nightwsh and Within Temptationn theres Epica whose Dutch like Floor and WT. Epica is heavier then NW and WT. They bring in elements of death metal. If you want to go nuclear i sujject Consign to Oblivion live at the Zenith.. They just realsed a song a few weeks ago for Europes 2nd biggest amusemt park and the attraction Danse Macabre.. Its more on the musical theater side and its fantaatic. Its called the Ghost in Me and theres already a live video along with the OMV... Tomorrow they release the 1st song from there 9th Studio Album and the song is called Arcana... We all are awaiting that.

It is looking unlikely that Nightwish will tour again. They are not touring their current album, and Floor now has two small children which would make touring tough. Also, Tuomas, who writes the music, seems to be taking a new direction into grand orchestral music in the style of Hans Zimmer. The new album is nominally Nightwish, but truth to tell, they don't really feature on it in any meanigful way. But as you will find out, there is a huge collection of performances out there. I would recommend anything from this show at Wacken, also Wembley Arena, Buenos Aires and their home concert in Tampere, Finland.
Honestly, I am so new to Nightwish that I have a lot to learn but what an impression they are having on me! Cant wait til the next track!

Mon ami pour la seconde fois vous venez de faire connaissance du métal symphonique et de nos deux reines Tarja et Floor, mais vous n'avez qu'effleuré le dessus de l'iceberg et vous n'êtes qu'a l'entrée du terrier de lapin. Je vous souhaite de bons floorgasmes et continuez vos réactions nous serons toujours derrière vous pour vous soutenir pour notre groupe...... Encore plus d'écoutes s'il vous plait...... Merci. Continuez sur le festival du Wacken Open Air 2013, vous êtes sur de ne pas vous tromper, les quinze chansons du set sont des classiques pour tous les fans du groupe et sont à écouter absolument. Vous venez d'écouter la 13ème chanson du set, ensuite faites le Ever Dream qui commence comme une douce ballade voix piano et sur un signe de Marko ( le bassiste ) continue d'accélérer pour finir comme un train à grande vitesse et en même temps de faire la connaissance de la voix de Marko, ou écoutez une petite histoire, un bon rock avec un refrain qui reste longtemps en tête avec Storytime ou alors du plus lourd avec Ghost River pour entendre le mélange magnifique des voix de Floor avec Marko ( merveilleuse harmonie ) ou encore plus lourd avec Romanticide ..... As a total fan of Nightwish with Floor, I still have to say that Tarja Turunen was the first singer who performed on the first five albums and is to be appreciated. However I prefer virtually every song when it's sung by Floor. At this concert after only 10 months with the band she takes every song to another level especially those by the second singer, Anette Olzon, 2007-2012) who was a pop singer and struggled to sing any Tarja songs and some of her own live.

Sirens are not mermaids. They live on land and lure sailors to the reefs off the coast with their singing. In the Odyssey Saga, the two live on both sides of the Strait of Medina, which lies between Sicily and the Italian mainland. The passage is still dangerous today because of the currents, wind and reefs. It is possible that the sirens were fake news from sailors about their own failure.
Floor says that she is not an opera singer. But she has studied the basics of classical singing and uses that extensively.
I would not compare a trash/heavy metal band like Metallica and James Hetfield with a symphonic metal band and Floor Jansen. That doesn't work, even if they have worked with an orchestra. Nightwish has done that regularly on every one of their records since 2005, including with the orchestra that has also worked on Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. If Hetfield had a talent as a tenor, then I would have missed something. Mastermind Tuomas Holopainen's first metal concert was a Metallica concert, but that hasn't rubbed off on his musical work. He takes his cues from Hans Zimmer and bands with female singers.
Unfortunately, they are currently taking a break from touring. I wouldn't get my hopes up before 2027, but then they'll be touring worldwide. Tuomas will be busy with his side project Auri in 2025. Floor has just toured the Netherlands and Germany with her solo program and is working on a second solo album. When it will be released is unknown and she probably doesn't know herself yet.
2026 will be the 30th anniversary of the band and the record label wants them to do something about it. Nothing concrete is known.
