After what happened in D6, it makes me cautious about this game. Sprites are easier to make more expressive, but 3D models are cheap to make. D6 was just. A massive step down from D5 overall.
@@JessePrower I agree with that, Disgaea 5 gameplay wise is probably THE definitive Disgaea. Though it might be controversial, I like certain things 6 introduced. I liked the changes made to monsters, equipping human weapons and lifting and throwing. It did make monsters a little less unique but I think it made them more viable along side humanoid units.

I'm so happy to see so many of the generic classes back. Now only question is... are group attacks back? Seeing multiple characters cut-in portraits just to end up with one of them doing the simplest of attacks was heartbreaking...

I already accepted that the series won't go back to the perfection 5 was in presentation and style, i just hope that mechanically they do try this time because disgaea 6 was the most disappointing sequel I've ever played, I bough it and then begged the guy to buy it back from me for about half the price because I couldn't stand the stink of that turd

It's an easy mistake to make, that's not Disgaea, that's, if I remember correctly, an Idea Factory game. Has all the signs of an Idea Factory game, too. Artificially inflated numbers, confusing ingame balance, awfully implemented and undeveloped characters, and so on. I think they even got some characters by Harada and some music by Tenpei, too, they went all out to dress that game up as Disgaea.

I'll miss the 2D sprites, but I don't mind 3D either. I'm really excited for Disgaea 7, it looks like it's adding a lot that was missing from 6.

とにかく6は体験版の時点でモッサリが酷すぎて買えなかった。シリーズファンだけど、私の中の基準がアレを買うことを許せなかった。画質優先だとPS4版ですらモッサリ、Switchは遊べたもんじゃなく、動作優先だととにかくグラが酷い。
昔からリメイク版で携帯機で遊んできた身からすれば、せめてグラの我慢無くSwitchで30fps以上は出て欲しい所。
