I agree I have been anxious since I was a child before there was anything for me to be truly anxious about...I think I have anxiety as a natural part of my autism but I also believe I have separate anxieties which are co morbid because I became anxious of these things after something happened to cause it. I hope that makes sense

That was a really interesting take and a really holistic way of viewing Autism - I think the same can apply to other neurological conditions as well as some mental health disorders too, where comorbidities would probably be best understood as features intrinsic to the condition that no everyone necessarily shares.

Certainly the anxiety is the key feature of my autism and it is pretty constant. I consider myself a pretty pure case of autism type one, and the anxiety is diffinately produced by autism directed. It produces a pure type of Obsessive thought that is negative, but I wouldn't consider OCD a comorbity I have. My mother however is diagnosed with OCD, but her ocd is really driven by less theory of mind and anxious worries, but it is kinda built in too.
