Oh, Melanie, I really like this vanilla cologne scent. I might get a backup at some point, got carried away today over there with purchasing candles ($13.95 to $16.00) each, freebie Autumn Drive body wash, and five different room sprays one of them being Vanilla Romance. I got three freebie rewards for next time, one of them will be Sunrise Woods body wash. My first burn was great, the throw was amazing and filled my bedroom. I picked up the new Stranger Things candles and many of the new ones out right now. Happy burning.
I didn’t smell mine much on first burn, but did smell it better on second burn. I actually smell the cardamom. And it smells bakeryish to me - similar to a cardamom version of cinnamon-spiced vanilla. Probably just my nose. I have three of these candles and I think that’s the perfect number for me.
I feel like with Bath and body Works candles. It’s almost better to just crock it. My kid and I tested out this theory, but I’m lighting one and letting it go for a few hours and then after it hardens putting it in the crock and it just smells so much stronger.
I don't know why the consistency isn't there anymore. I have had candles that I literally have to be on top of to smell them. I have this and haven't burned it yet. I am absolutely going to burn it soon. I love Dark Kiss. Have a great week ❌️ ⭕️
I agree that it seems like BBW 3 wicks are burning faster lately. I have only 5 left. I’m no longer going out of my way for low throw, fast burning candles. 🤷♀️ Yay, it’s almost Autumn! 🍂 R🍁
I'm right there with you, love the scent but not as strong as I would like and the body care isn't long lasting either. But, I will stock up as this is my signature scent. I will have to try the perfume you mentioned (7 virtues?). Just started watching your channel and I totally appreciate your input and suggestions. Please let us know if you "crocked" this candle and if the scent was stronger, I don't have a crock but thinking seriously about purchasing one. 😊 Have a great wknd!
You should absolutely purchase a crock, even if only for this one because it performed so much better crocked than burning! It is so beautiful but not strong enough when burning, but in the crock, it really amplified the scent. Thanks Melanie! I picked this up today from the store due to buying it online this past weekend during a sale. It smells so light on cold 😢 so now I know yo not get my hopes up when I burn it. I got a freebie of a travel perfume of it and it’s very warm and cozy, lovely, but didn’t last long at all. It needed to be stronger to me. I may end up buying the lotion during a sale and see if layering it helps. I almost smell a faint bit of myrrh in it. It’s probably the amber. 😅

I just picked up the body cream. It smells delicious.
